Today I woke up and found out that my brother was in the hospital with a brain tumor-

I'll keep a good thought for you Blue.

The doctors say....

that he had a "mini" stroke. He will live but he will need about 9 months to recover the use of his right eyelid. In the meantime he will wear a patch and I will remember what it felt like to think that my younger brother was at death's door.

Thank you all for caring.

Sweetheart we still do care, don't ever forget that.

My thoughts are still with you and your family at this time.

Blue give him a hug for me, I know it's not the manly thing, but hug him lots and let him know how much you love him.

Blue...

I am sorry your brother had a mini stroke! But...I can only imagine the relief you must feel right now that hope and his life has been restored! Time is a good healer!!

It is when things like this happens that lets us know just how short life is and the time to enjoy it is now!!

(((((((((((((BLUE)))))))))))))))

{{Blue}}glad to hear he will recover.

Did y'all play pirates as little boys? Maybe you should get him a pirates patch for his eye and sword for Christmas now that you know he is going to be ok.

When my sister had radiation treatments we got her temporary tatoo's for her bald head and she thought they were great.

Hang in there bro....

Been goin' through a bit of this myself lately. Life is short - ya gotta plan accordingly.

Hope for the best. I will.

Thank goodness Blue ... that is wonderful news darling ...
it does make us wonder about our relationships though, doesn't it? i think i understand how you feel ... but you are truly blessed to be that close with your brother ... you are lucky to have each other ... :) (sorry i had to get that smiley face in ... you know me lol)

Blue, I was glad to read that you had at least better news than you thought. Good luck to your brother on his recovery. You sound like a good sister to him and I'm sure he appreciates that.

That is a tough and heart-wrenching diagnosis for him to have. You seem to be a man who will provide great strength to your brother.

I am sure you already know about this book, but it doesn't hurt to remind someone that it can help through the tough times... Harold Kushner's When Bad Things Happen to Good People- maybe it can help you deal with the emotions you are going through as well. Because when someone we love is in pain, we feel it too. Good luck to you all.

I've read the book and heard him speak

Rabbi Kushner's book is wonderful. And so is life. Enjoy it while there is time.

AMEN!!!!!!

Of the coices, tumor or stroke, stroke is preferable,,, trust me,,, been there done that, didn't like it,,, but survived it.

Just keep reminding him that you care and that you love him,,, that alone will get him thru a lot of the frustration that will be coming down the pike.

Yesterday he was dead....

And today my bro has a patch on his eye. I rather like the patch. It's so much better than a funeral.
