Today I enjoyed running into a friend I hadn't seen in a long time and chatting and hearing about a new granddaughter on her way.....

I also enjoyed a sunset so much I dropped in at a friends house and made him and his kids go look too....... it was just that fantastic.

Today I'm glad Cate was able to share the moment with friends.

Today I so agree Den - it was one of those simple things in life that bring a smile to the heart.

How are you? You sure did a wonderful thing for your friend. It really doesn't take much to show a kindness and the gratitude is shared with all involved. Good for you all.

Today I also received some terrific news from my closest friend here. She's 19 weeks pregnant and two weeks ago a blood test came out positive for birth defects. She had an ultrasound today and the baby appears to be healthy and no birth defects. She's also going to have a little girl.

I am so thrilled for her.

It's been a very emotional week.

Today we surprised my friend and co-worker. Her home burned on Monday (total loss). Three of us organized a pick-me-up type collection. Large baskets and bags of goodies to help them get through the next week at a hotel until the insurance company locates them a home for the next six months. (things as small as q-tips, magazines, notepads and pens, cookies, nuts, socks, slippers, a pair of sweats, a rice-cookeras she eats rice every day, a coffee maker, cups with instant hot cocoa packets, and toys and treats for the miracle cat that survived are just some of the items.)

She was completely overwhelmed, as was I, by the kindness and thoughtfulness of everyone.

It's amazing that so little effort can mean so much to those in need.

Today I believe the Christmas Spirit is alive in Den and her coworkers. At a time where traveling and shopping sometimes bring out the scarier side of humankind, your thoughtfulness inspires me.

I had to go last month...nothin to it...if they'll give one to my dad (he has Parkinsons and a bad heart and is half paralyzed and hallucinates) they'll give one to anyone

Today you should know that we have to take a sign test for the 6 year license...........and everyone there was laughing about missing at least one of the signs.

Today you should know that its very scary here when you're in back of an eighty year old person that they totally coach thru the eye tests...can't read any of the signs on which line they should be standing in...is totally confused yet there they are getting their license....I don't know about you but that scares the crap out of me

Today I agree! At some point we should realize that we shouldn't drive. I figured that out several years ago because I don't perceive distances accurately. I rarely drive because it's so stressful and I never ever drive at night. Know thy limits.
