Today I am on my way to pay a damn ticket....I believe at 38 years old I should be allowed to choose if I want to wear my seatbelt or not. My children are safely secured....always...but I hate the damn things. So now I must go down and pay the ticket !!!!!!

as a former emergency medical technician I must say unseat-belted people can become lethal flying objects during accidents. can you imagine the impact your body would have slamming into your children's?
If you are a lone person in the car I have no problem with you not wearing a seat-belt, especially if you have airbags to keep you from going through the windshield.
That is a gruesome accident scene too.

Today I can feel Temptress and see your point, but like Noor said it is alot more dangerous and less apt to survive an accident. When they changed the law here in the 80's I hated it too, especailly when dress up and it tends to wrinkle your dress, and being short they never had them to fit properly, it would go right across my neck. I figured that was just as dangerous. But through the years they have made them better. But my nieces and nephews and my son have used them all their life and do not think twice about using them and actually I don't anymore. Better safe than sorry. Good luck with the ticket.

today, I do mean DAMM tempy that is cheap... in all states a commercial driver could almost lose their lic. for that violation and I agree .... seems like your state needs revenue and you are providing in a ill goten way, to the retirement fund... how many peoples lives were saved by not being trapped????

Temptress your children will learn from you..........put belts on children but not on adults. Sorry about the ticket.

Today I am feeling a little bit better and a little bit stronger than I did yesterday. and I enjoyed talking with a new friend earlier today who actually made me laugh, something I hadn't been able to do much lately.
Today is a pretty good hump day, tomorrow will be even better.
