Not a whole lot happens over the weekends usually, so you probably won't miss much.

I have been posting just about once a week to give everyone a chance to post and get sorted out. After the tour and after I figure out where everyone is, I will be wanting to post more often than once a week.

is it too late to join? i know the torchwood stuff as i watched each episode and am a great sci-fi fan

in case it isnt, heres my application, i know its a bit unorthodox, but it might throw a bit of a twist into it.

Name:Nitanial 'Nite' Crowe
Age: roughly 30 earth years
Description: Appears a human male, but with more serpentine attributes (ie. he has no eyelids, forked tongue webbed hands)
Background: Previously from Torchwood 1. Nitanial came through the rift several years ago, and surrendered himself to Torchwood, where he now remains, happily locked in a cell, reading and offering the team advice when they ask for it. Recently he has found a new hobbie...pyschology. he is very touchy when it comes to explaining his race.
Skills or Role: Psychologist, Researcher & Prisoner.
Abilties: Can sense the rift, and has also improved eyesight.
Nite is happy where he is, and is happy to help the team, and often tries to strike up friendships between them.

i know you have already started the main thread, but i would love to be a part of it.

also for the record Nite doesnt have any powers or anything, he is just an 'rift alien' who's only advantages above humans is his improved eyesight.

It’s not too late to join and it’s good to see someone who saw the show. Your character is good but there are a few problems. This faction of Torchwood has only been there for about two months. So unless your character has been moved from a different part of Torchwood, there really is no reason why he has been prisoner here for several years. A problem with having him as a prisoner is that you are limited to how much interaction you actually get with everyone else. Unless they visit you in your cell, you may end up playing by yourself.

What you could do is still be a prisoner of Torchwood’s, just you get a tracking device or a device that sends out an electroshock thing if you leave a certain area. That way you can move around more. The fact that your character came through the Rift and is an alien, will also give a reason why you are here. That reason would be is that we would need someone with some experience with the Rift and other alien life.

If you would like, and it would be handy, is if your character could also sense when the Rift is overly active.

ok so my caharacter basically as is except for....

He was previously at Torchwood 1 and was later moved.
He can move around the base but can't go in certain rooms.
He is an alien that came through the Rift.
And he can sense when the Rift is being overly active....he cals its some kind of aura.

Im also thinking that he may be a pacifist, and doesnt like fighting as well, which would be a reason as to why they let him walk around.

is that ok?

Since there has been no reply from the others, I'm going to get the story moving. There is still room for one, not evil just misunderstood, mystery player. He knows who he is.

Name: Dr. Matthew Anderson

Age: 38

Description: 5' 8", black hair, green eyes, wears eyeglasses medium build, moderatly fit but not particuarilly athletic either.

Background: Engineer/Scientist

Skills or Role: PhD in Engineering, specializing in reverse engineering alien technology.

Disposition: Analytical and calculating, complete workaholic. More interested in the warp rifts and what comes out of it than what might happen afterwards...

History: With the increasing threat of unstable rifts, the British Government contacted a 'sister department' in the United States in order to increase resources and potential support. In response, the US assigned Dr. Anderson as a liason to the Torchwood Project. Dr. Anderson has been an Engineering specialist in 'Project 51' for the last 10 years.

Hope it's not too much... I don't have a clue about Torchwood or any of that so I improvised.
