Torino 2006: XX Winter Olympic Games

I heard more Disco music during the opening ceremonies last night than I have heard in the last 20 years!

I was wondering about that myself. It was just weird hearing K.C. and the Sunshine Band. I would have liked to hear local music.

I didn't really concentrate on the show, but I did like those balloon things... and I liked the way the people climbed the 'web' and then formed a bird.

There were some nice elements - the way they lit the torch was neat.

Sometime Tuesday...I have the dvr set to get all the Tuesday Olympics, as I have a meeting at work UGH. Who makes a mandatory staff meeting on Valentine's Day?

I scream at the TV when I watch curling...which is so funny, because I don't normally watch any sort of sport, but the olympics I like...

Michelle Kwan has just withdrawn from competition with a groin injury.

I think the symbol of peace was beautiful done, but i have to say i was a bit worried when the YMCA song was played and Yoko Ono said peace in a violent manner that made me feel sorry for the microphone, a very strange but beautiful ceremony.

I don't know, Heil took the middle with speed not matched. Just watching I cringe and rub my old knees. I never liked the bumps, didn't like swallowing my knees on every turn.;) Give me the speed!

I think thats the difference not having done that sport myself i suppose i miss some points you would catch but as much as i think Heil was good, Traa for me just had something a bit extra.............however the judges picked Heil so i suppose they know best LOL

The most fascinating thing for me at the opening ceremonies was the group that created the 'animation' of the ski jumper. To coordinate that many people for that long with almost no mistakes is nothing short of incredible!

Hockey and curling for me!

GO USA!

Well the event i had been looking forward to the most was the snowboarding and i am so disappointed i have been ranting all day White was without a doubt the best but what happened to the Finns and just how many made mistakes in the first run, i won't go on LOL but i was very very disappointed.
