Apparently (or so I heard today), there is an underground cathedral in Krakow, Poland, carved out of salt. It's in an old, disused salt mine.

The reason I find this interesting is (a) I like salty things and (b) I am going to Krakow in 3 weeks time for a little solo weekend of solitude.

However, if anyone is interested in coming along, I am open to offers of accompaniment.

The author of the book on which the film is based, Dodie Smith, was a successful playwright and novelist who had 9 Dalmatians of her own, including one named Pongo. She got the idea for the book when a friend who was at her house saw all the dogs together and said, "Those dogs would make a lovely fur coat."

Someone counted all black spots in the movie, frame-by-frame, and reached the total of 6,469,952

it's said that there is a hidden Mickey on almost all the Dalmatians.

OMG! this is going back to my old school/university days.
If I remember correctly it's part of the Krebs Cycle where ADP (Adenodiphosphate) is converted to ATP (Adenotriphosphate) through a process called phosphorylation which requires oxygen. The reverse process (ATP to ADP) is what releases this chemical energy and gives us our body heat, muscular energy etc.
