Outside the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Terminal, there is an archway. If you stand in one corner facing the wall and a friend stands in the opposite corner doing the same, you can hear each other by talking as if you are standing next to each other.

I believe the same is true in the dome of St. Paul's in London.

The 27th of July is known in Finland as "Sleepy Head Day" when the last person in the family to wake up is traditionally thrown into the nearest lake or sea

The anal sphincter muscle is designed to expand and contract an unlimited number of times. Stretching it will not make it any less able to constrict, just as stretching your hamstrings does not make them weaker. There have even been a number of long-term studies that found that there was absolutely no loss of muscle tone or the ability to contract regardless of the amount of anal sex a person has had.

The average IQ of the population as a whole is, by definition, 100. IQs range from 0 to above 200.
The intelligence quotient is defined as 100 times the Mental Age (MA) divided by the Chronological Age (CA).

IQ = 100 MA/CA.

Stupid Laws...

Portland, ME., makes it illegal to tickle a girl under the chin with a feather duster.

In Racine, WS., it is illegal to wake a fireman when he is asleep.

Chocolate is good for the baby!

Scientists at Yale University have just published their research findings in the journal Epidemiology that shows eating chocolate during pregnancy can help pre-eclampsia.
It suggests women who eat chocolate at least five times a week are 40% less likely to develop the condition than those who consume it less than once a week.

Girls! The reasons to eat chocolate every day are building up :)

Another team of researchers revealed yesterday (Monday 28th April) that they are embarking on a year-long study to test chocolate's ability to stave off heart disease.

Where do I sign up? Free chocolate for a year! (All in the interest of science of course) ;)

i find those strange state laws so funny....

Minnesota: It is illegal for any man to have sexual intercourse with a live fish — ladies, apparently, you’re in the clear.

Oblong, Illinois: It's punishable by law to have sex while hunting or fishing on your wedding day. : isn't this considered a honeymoon? i mean what they desire to do on the day of their wedding is their own ugly business, no?

Texas: flirting is banned in San Antonio : the stars at night, so big and bright *clap clap clap clap* deep in the heart of texas!!!!

Washington State: sex with an animal is perfectly legal for men, as long as the animal weighs less than 40 pounds ' : this is great news for the men in minnesota!!

Nevada: if you’re a member of the Nevada legislature, you cannot conduct business, while in session, wearing a penis costume. : what happens in nevada, really should stay in nevada.

It is Shakespeare's 448th birthday this year and so, some Shakespeare trivia...

"Alas! Poor Yorick. I knew him, Horatio; a fellow of infinite jest," says Hamlet in one of Shakespeare’s most famous scenes. David '******t', who caused a stir as Hamlet in the four-month run in Stratford-upon-Avon, recently let it slip that the skull belonged to pianist Andre Tchaikovsky.

Tchaikovsky bequeathed his skull to the Royal Shakespeare Company before his death in 1982 because he hated seeing this famous scene from Hamlet performed with plastic, prop skulls – but the RSC has not publicized the story.

I love the idea that Tchaikovsky has been making a cameo appearance as Yorick for over four months at the RSC without anybody realizing it

David T,E,n,n ant is a famous Shakespearean actor who also played the role of Doctor Who in the BBC series. YET I appear to be banned by LIT from posting his name David ******t

In her early teens, Mary Decker was already recognized as a world-class runner. Unable to attend the 1972 Olympics as she was too young, the pigtailed 89 pounds (40 kg) 14 year old nicknamed "Little Mary Decker," won international acclaim in 1973 with a win in the 800 meters at a US-Soviet meet in Minsk, beating the later Olympic silver medallist.

By the end of 1972, Decker was ranked first in the United States and fourth in the world in the 800 meters. In 1973 she gained her first world record, running an indoor mile in 4:40.1. By 1974, Decker was the world record holder at 2:26.7 for 1000 meters, 2:02.4 for 880 yards, and 2:01.8 for 800 meters.

But by the end of 1974, she had developed a case of the muscle condition compartment syndrome. This resulted in a series of injuries, which meant that she did not compete in the 1976 Olympics, because of stress fractures in her lower leg. In 1978 she had an operation to try to cure compartment syndrome, which kept her out of competition for a period. After recovering from surgery, she spent two seasons at the University of Colorado at Boulder on a track scholarship. In 1980, she broke the world record for the women's mile, running a 4:17.55 to become the first woman to break the 4:20 barrier for the mile.
