I'm usually not into the Vampire type movies and I never even watched it the first season. I watched it one night because a coworker was talking about it and I was hooked. I must say that HBO puts out some excellent series.

WOW. Crazy episode tonight. All I can say is Sookie can be a badass...when she's not being annoying, Godric is just amazing, Bill is so cute, and damn, Eric is smokin' hot. He needs to smile more. *drool* Oh, and Jason finally grew a brain.

I hope they get off the church angle soon. Yes, there are bad churches like "God Hates Fags' idiots but the majority do good in the community. Fucking the preacher's wife? It's like they get some thrill putting them down.
 
I think the preacher's wife was fucking him as much or more than he was fucking her! LOL. After all "God" told her too.

I'm enjoying this but I do hope Jason wakes up to what is happening soon.

I haven't see the latest show yet.

I absolutely LOVE the books. I read all 9 in about a week. I dislike some of the changes they've made, but that's to be somewhat expected. If the keep going and mostly keep to the books, I'm REALLY looking forward to Season 4, as that was my favorite book, and there's more dealing with Werewolves, Witches as well as the Vamps.

I must say, Jason stepped up in the most recent episode.


Does anyone else think the actor playing Eric is too slender? I see this big, broad shouldered Viking bad-ass that's sexy as sin in my mind from the books, but the actor doesn't pull it off. Not saying he isn't spiffy, but not what I expected.

Though finding tall, blond actors that can pull off playing Eric may have been difficult. Wonder what that casting call was like...
 
So much of what has happened on the show has been nothing like the books. Some of it I'm happy about.

Such as:

Jason and Sookie getting along better.

Jason growing up a little.

I'm also happy that Erik is suddenly a more interesting character. He may be slim but I like him way better than Bill to look at.

This second season has been just so much better than the first. I'm loving it.
