No, ICE are now secret police, not in the sense of being secretive, but in the sense of political police -- tasked with suppressing opponents of the regime. They play the role the FBI played back in the 1960s.

It's not so much the mask as the lack of ANY unique identification. Hell, police officers wear numbered badges, why can't ICE?
That was a rhetorical question. ICE Gestapo does not wear ANY unique identification so they have "plausible deniability" when confronted with accusations of wrongdoing, and the general public has no recourse.
ICE Gestapo has taken this one step further....they don't even "arrest" any public official anymore. That would create a paper trail in court later on. So they simply rough up the public official, knock him or her to the ground, and loudly announce that the public official is "under arrest".
Everyone is shocked and upset, which is what Mango Mussolini™ wants. As soon as the TV cameras get the footage they need, Kosplay Kristi Noehm has her vile press secretary Tricia McLaughlin issue a Tweet and press release claiming the public official "viciously assaulted law enforcement and praise Jesus for keep the ICE officers safe.
Then the ICE officers snip the zip ties and go on their merry way to their next outrage.

Then, when Senator Padilla rightly / justifiably approached Kristi Noem to question / challenge her outrageous and inflammatory assertion that the Marines and the NG were in LA to “Liberate” the city from Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Newsom, THE FBI AGENT AND THE NATIONAL GUARD MEMBER WHO HAD ESCORTED SENATOR PADILLA INTO THE MEETING DID NOT INTERVENE TO HELP IDENTIFY HIM TO THE OTHER LEOS WHO WERE ASSAULTING SENATOR PADILLA (today it was reported by PBS that members of both parties in congress were quite disturbed by THE INACTION OF THE FBI AGENT AND THE NATIONAL GUARD MEMBER WHO ESCOTED SENATOR PADILLA BUT DID NOT INTERVENE WHEN SENATOR PADILLA WAS BEING ASSAULTED).
It would appear that LEOs are compromised and are acting politically (with a radical right wing bias) while executing their sworn duties to serve & protect.
