Does Donald Trump have porcelain veneers? Yes, he does, and here’s the interesting story behind his getting them.

It was back a little more than 15 years ago that I heard this story from Dr. Larry Rosenthal, a prominent cosmetic dentist with offices just off Madison Avenue on Manhattan’s upper east side. I had gotten to know Larry when we worked together on the first Public Relations Committee of the AACD in 1994-95.

After seeing some images of Trump leaning over his phone during the interview like a weirdo, it occurred to me that the slurring may have been a result of hypersalivation interfering with his ability to speak. DonOld was drooling.

And here’s a little background on hypersalivation:

“What causes hypersalivation?

There are a variety of causes for this condition but usually it results from brain abnormalities such as cerebral palsy, prior brain injury such as stroke, congenital abnormalities of brain development, or traumatic brain injury.”

😳

What gets me is that no correction was made. No water given, no different posture taken. Just continuing on in that ridiculously comical slurry lisp.

If there had been some interruption of the event to attend to some problem with Trump’s ability to speak, that would have created its own problematic narrative, imho. I don’t see any good options in that situation with a live interview going on.

🤔

And, imho, once Trump really got going with his usual unhinged rambling diatribe, there was no one in the room with him that would have dared to interrupt him and tell him he sounded like a slurring idiot.

😳

Side note:

Personally, I believe the interview went "perfectly".
