Truth is stranger than fiction

Did she know that she had sex with 2 different men, or were they hiding that fact from her? What I consider disgusting is that it has been taken to court by one brother, to get rid of parental responsibilities. If a man has unprotected sex with a woman, that is the moment he accepted that he might have to take over parental responsibility.

The article isn’t clear if she knew or not. I assume she did since the brother assumed to be the father (presumably her BF/husband/partner) is asking to be relieved of parental responsibilities… perhaps because he feels she cheated?

Sounds like the opening of a lovely poly story.

With twins you always have the possibility of pulling “the switch”… either collaboratively (two twins swap partners periodically to keep things fresh and fun) or individually (one twin sneaks in when the other twin doesn’t know).

In stories maybe, but if my brother and I try it it'll never work.

We're similar in a lot of things. Mannerisms, way of speech, that kind of thing. That doesn't mean they're the same.

As an example, we both have a certain love for a certain type of online forum. However, we both frequent different forums to get that kick.

This happens now and than with anything where we "overlap." It is the same, but different. If some things where we overlap are different, imagine how it is where we don't overlap.

It gets worse with knowledge of current events. Are you going to keep track of everything what happened? "She asked to do the laundry, don't forget that there's the meeting tonight, and you had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch." There's too much which easily wouldn't line up, and some will look strange enough to shine a light on the switch.

It could fall through by simply not wearing that underwear with a fray she's annoyed about. She did a laundry that day and is sure that you didn't switch it, but here it is. A different underwear. Any such event in a thousand a day can trigger it.

But it is actually found out the moment the switch has happened. There's two reasons for it. The first is that the older we get, the less identical we are. In close proximity twins are even less likely to be similar as they push off each other, while separated twins are more likely to get to their optimal situation.

The second is that people that get close to you will see the difference. Parents aren't just guessing from a young age.

In the Prestige the wife/wives would have known, and this is a guy much more similar than an identical twin. He was cloned at a later age by a magical machine. The wife still notices that some days he means it when he tells her he loves her, other days not. The wounds not healing well, needing more medicine. There's simply no way she didn't know.

There's barely any chance a switch will go unnoticed in real life. The quickest way a switch falls through is by showing up. Never impossible, but unlikely enough.

I will say the time I was cranking it, shot a load and then caught it perfectly in my mouth (didn’t even touch my lips) was a lot stranger than any of the things I’ve pitched on here…not much of a story though, could maybe use it as a scene in a comedy though

Yeah, I suppose it’s asking for too much.

But, one night in a semi-dark bedroom? Can we still realistically imagine a swap like that? :)

I have written more than one story along these lines. A favorite: Stealing a plot-line from 'Shameless,' - “(g)ood writers borrow, great writers steal” (T.S. Eliot) - parents sent twin boys to a swanky college-prep school as the same child. The two go on to the university as the same guy - duplicating their stellar performance 'cause all work and accomplishments are /2. They meet a gal and the three have a wonderful time because "he" is always simultaneously at home banging her. And at work impressing his bosses and getting promoted.
