I saw that circulating twitter. Somebody screenshotted their conversation in case they deleted it.

And the thing is, they were responding to a click-bait article from some RW site that wasn't even something she actually said. The headline was something along the lines of, "We shouldn't pay our troops so much" and what she actually said was something like, "We should relocate some of our military spending to provide better healthcare to veterans who don't qualify for certain programs now because they make too much to qualify, they're over the income level".

THink about it. The guy was a 14 yr veteran, probably making 70 -80 grand, probably with kids. He's now lost his entire salary and will never be hired as a cop again. Will he apply for COBRA?
