Two spyware files that won't leave

Toolbar 888 and something in my memory that keeps popping called command.exe anyone know a program that will get rid of them. I've tried adaware and spybot but even when I'm not connected to the net they can't be removed.

Please help a poor helpless....ok i'm not poor or helpless but please help

Make a post detailing your problem ( you might want to check the sticky threads at the top of the forum and find a program called Hijack This to post a log which is always the first step of the instructions )

It will take a couple of days for one of the helpers to get around to you, so be patient.

Once they get to you though, they'll track down whatever spyware bug you have in your system and show you how to get rid of it, completely and forever.

Spyware

I use something fromcall XSoft which is fantastic from detecting and removing Spyware. But it is not free.

But incredibly Microsofts anti spyware product is very good too.
It's been finally rebranded as Windows Defender and it's worth a look given it's free.

The best pprogram to use is probably NOD32 if u have difficulties getting hold of it send me a msg ill get it to u. Best thing to do i find tho is to run the scan then manual delete the file then reboot and walah. if worst comes to worst just backup all of ur files and format. hope this helps

Have you tried booting in Safe Mode and running the anti-spyware programs then?

A friend once suggested it to me when I thought I had a spyware problem, it's an online site that can scan your computer for all sort of nasty bugs etc. It can take awhile depending on your connection but I found it was more successful/complete than ad aware or spybot search and destroy which are the two main programs most people use these days.

I really do highly suggest it.

Get AutoRuns from SysInternals.com
Boot in safe mode, (F8 at startup) run autoruns, figure out where the command.exe is loading, and uncheck it.

Same for the toolbar.
