UFO's, Flying Saucers, The Men In Black... Whatever. What do you think?

"Believe it,or not"

Disclaimer: What I'm about to say here is a discription of an event that I my wife, and approximently 50 other people witnessed.

It was in the late "70's",my wife and I was at a drive-in theater.
All of a sudden,we heard some people in a car not to far from us hollar,"Hey everybody, look up there!" they where in a convertable, and was standing, pointing up at the sky.

Straight up above us approximently 1000 feet, was a flying object, that was oval, and had a series of flashing yellow, and blue lights.
The object was heading in a southerly direction. As it got almost directly above us,it stopped. It hoverd over us for approximently 30 to 40 seconds, when we saw 2 smaller objects come up from behind. The other 2 objects had the same light patterns to them, but they flashed faster than the bigger one.
Once they had caught up with the bigger one, they proceded to continue on a southerly direction.
With-in another 30 seconds they where out of site.

Everyone there just sat and talked about it for about 15 minutes.
Nothing was ever on the news about it.

Now if anybody knows anything about navigation, you'll know that around the world, all aircraft, ships will only have red,and green lights on them. Some will have white marker lights that blink, but I have never seen a airplane or ship with yellow, and blue alternating flashing lights.

I have told this story many times to people, and they laugh, and tell me I'm full of shit, but all I can say is,"I seen what I seen!" And thats all that matters.

What we're doing to the planet won't affect it much. It's survived a lot worse than what we can throw at it.

Whether there's sentient life out there or not, we can't be the only planet to develop life. Whether other sentient life has achieved a level of technology to allow interstellar travel is the question.

How come you believe so strongly in God then?

No one has ever seen him (or should I say that it's never been proven that anybody's seen him??), and yet so many people follow him... even to their deaths.

How come you will believe that an unseen God exists based on the preachings of men that supposedly "saw" God, that lived 2000 years ago? People nowadays are preaching about how they've "seen" aliens, but nobody listens to them?

I would explain but I am tired of people pissing down my throat on this board when I talk about God.

One night some years ago, it was dark and stormy, very weird cloud formations. A local mall was having a grand opening, with high-intensity searchlights circling around. The searchlights bounced around in the clouds so that they appeared to be shifting left and right VERY rapidly. Sure enough, the next morning, the local newspaper reported a host of UFO sightings in the area!

Anyone ever do the Miller-Brown experiment in science class? You sterilize a beaker to be sure there are no microrganisms already in it, fill it with methane gas, ammonia, and water vapor (the early atmosphere of Earth), inject an electric charge (simulated lightning), and voila, the walls of the beaker are coated with thick brown glop, made up of GOBS of DNA! Life out of lifeless chemicals, and without the intervention of a god. Life forms are created so easily and naturally, then multiply that by billions of planets in the universe, and lifeforms must be PLENTIFUL.

But the question is, would billions of years of evolution have developed exactly the human lifeforms that developed on earth? Would any of those lifeforms have built spaceships? Out of the billions of planets in the universe, would any of those spaceships have stumbled upon earth, and even if they did, would they have noticed life here, and would life here be similar enough to life on their planet for them to recognize it?

And would those alien life forms really choose to make contact ONLY with drunken Arkansas farmers, and ONLY at 3 a.m.?
