Pengy, I sympathise with you! When I play console games, I tend to play intensively for a long time. And then I give up for a while when I get stuck, and then I have to re-learn everything. If I sit down and play some fighting game for hours on end, then I'm bound to be pretty good at the end, but then after not playing for months, I forget all the combos! It sucks!!

Got lots of anime!!!!! Akira, Ghost in the Shell etc. etc. Borrowed from an anime-loving and Gackt-obsessing friend who has great legs (I'm very jealous). She is trying to convert me to Gackt-ism, which is bound to happen someday. I'm prime groupie material, to be honest. I asked her 'what gackt stuff have you got exactly?'. Her reply, 'literally, everything'. She's a long-distance groupie. She is agonising over whether to send him an email--hee. She has his email address, which is very cool. Maybe I should tell her to send him a picture of her legs.

Watched tons of Full Metal Panic! recently, and man, mecha is very cool. Mecha rules! Anime rules!!

I think i may have told you before, but Akira is the only anime i've seen, and it took about three watches before i got it.

myself, i use anime/cartoon strips to help learn a new language.. it helped for german and my russian is really coming along!!! when you have a cartoon you like, it is easy to pick up vocab, as u know basically what is happening so you gain confidence real quick!!!

It's difficult!! You crossed genres! Okay, so you're a bit of everything, though still quite typically male taste. Hmmmm... I'll try and think of something, discuss with some fellow anime-lovers. Maybe burberryjam can help out?

Full Metal Panic (hybrid shonen-shojo I think to be honest. Sagara Sousuke is a bit too much of a pretty-boy to be a shonen hero. But there are panty-shots galore so it's shonen).

I know, I'll ask a shonen-fanatic (me being a shojo fanatic, I won't be able to help out much) but this guy at work is MAD about shonen so he'll be able to give me a list of super-classics. He was talking about Evangelion and the madness of it the other day.

GTO stands for Great Teacher Onizuka. It's about a teacher who's teaching just for the sake of staring (and more) at/with nubile girls.
