Ooh, I borrowed Hellsing.

You know what I really hate though? Tokyo Mew Mew. UGH!! It's absolutely awful!!! Why did Tokyopop buy it??? Man, if the heroes/heroines are 12, how am I possibly going to relate to them? Same problem with Cardcaptors. Plus Sakura is annoying as hell. So prefer Meilin. But Yukito-san is uber-bishounen.

Yeah, anime was all fansubs... but now they're being translated, and Asian culture is becoming cool etc. etc. The way I see it, this is a good thing. Anime is too great a thing to be kept away on the internet and in specific countries. Whenever I find something I like, I try to convert everyone around me. It works, to an extent. When I was 11/12, I managed to convince around half the people in my year to read Tamora Pierce. Then I'd organise big discussions on who you prefer George/Jonathan (I always liked Jonathan, but everybody (excepting 1 or 2 people) preferred George!!! ARGH!). The funniest was when I was around 13/14, I persuaded lots of people to read Virginia Andrews (it was in the school library!). Then one girl told her mum and the mother complained. Hmm. After that my tastes became a bit too weird to be popular (Terry Goodkind, and then Anne Rice--though I never did the goth thing).
