A penguin just might serve you very well, indeed. They stand just about the right height. They're very stiff when they walk. They never need to pause to remove the tuxedo. The webbed orange feet are hardly worth mentioning as a drawback.....

Hi Zuke....very true and you can pay them in fish:D

Speaking of fish....if little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice, how come they taste like sardines?

Evening Mark and evening Zuke

  to you both as part of my continuing "getting to know you all" campaign.

Hope you have both had a good day (or is it only just lunchtime in St Louis)?? If I ever make it stateside I will have to "meet you in St Louis" Zuke. By the way is brainlocked the american for not being able to spell 5 letter words??? My boss is hoping to emigrate Florida in 05 soI had better warn her that no-one can spell (color, gray etc. etc.)

You've got the time difference right, Blue, I am indeed sitting down to lunch about the same time you sit down to dinner. We're just a few miles west of the 90th meridian.

Spelling has never been my strong suit, whether judged by American or British conventions. I do know enough about the history of the language to know that the very idea of 'correct' spelling is a modern (16th century) invention, and just what that correct spelling should be didn't get settled until the 18th or 19th century in some cases -- by which time it was possible to settle it different ways in different parts of the English-speaking world.

(Here endeth the lesson.)
