Hi everyone

I'm back... I know not very exciting news for anyone, lol

Been having problems with my stupid comp not letting me onto alot of websites, but all ok now :D

Hope you all ok and BlueFoxLady sounds good that you got a call from a Lit friend :)
 
Evening Nem, good to see you back mate.
My comp has been playing silly beggars recently, due to upgrade to a new one very soon.

Will also be able to put more stuff on it too thanks to a hard-drive increasing in size by ten-fold. :D
 
I'm going to be getting a new comp soon too, we have two at the moment, but I have to fight for this one because LL's usually playing Sims 2 on it, & BM's usually playing Final Fantasy XI on hers (unless LL is). My fault for buying them the games for Christmas, I know.

So, I'm thinking in terms of an AMD64 3500 CPU, twin 250Gb hard drives, at least 1Gb RAM, probably a GeForce 6800 graphics card, 19" TFT monitor... (drooling yet guys? ;) )

Not bad, not bad at all, i quite fancy one of the new Dell XPS machines, pentium 4, 3x 400gb hard drives ,top of the range graphics and sound cards, 21" monitor the list goes on, cant funking afford one tho will have to aim a bit lower:mad:

Sims 2!!!!! I want to play that... so not fair. Okay, I admit I don't know whether 6800 graphics card is good or not, but I guess it is. I recognise the rest of the terminology though and I must say... pretty good. Technology moves so fast though. My current hard drive was quite up-to-date two or so years ago and it's 60 gigs. Now you get 250 gigs?? Crazy! The thing is, you NEED a lot of space for your comp to run well. When I had 30 GB hard drive, filling up half of it caused it to work at a snail's pace. So I switched to a new one. I've only filled up about 15 Gigs of this, but as I download more and more music and TV series (yup, whole series!) it's gradually filling up, especially since one episode of, say, Mars TV series is about 700 MB.

Witchie, yes long since finished tea but not yet finished the Merlot (well it is a 1.5l bottle and even I haven't a hope of drinking that in one evening :p )

The phone call was GOOD but to short. I am hoping it might be repeated again soon:devil:
