Hey people, how've you all been?
I've got a cough. It's incredibly annoying.

BUT, I have been reading Terry Goodkind. More specifically, Chainfire..

I think I'm still reeling. Chainfire is such a good book. I'm a pretty fussy reader. I'll read anything willingly and with enthusiasm, but it's been a long time since I've read a real page-turner. That Chainfire is.

It's such an enthralling story.

Oh dear god, KAHLAN!!! NO!!!

What what what? Chainfire? Not read that one, and I'm a massive terry goodkind fan, I thought I'd read all of them. You talking about Soul of the Fire? book 5 where the chimes are released into the new world? If not, let me know because if he's released a new one I NEED to read it. P.S. The Stone of Tears is his best book so far, lol, I'm a beardy weirdy so Richard with a beard is a must!

Uh oh... been too normal with my post... Well they say finish on a song:

"somewhere.... beyond the sea... somewhere waiting for me, my lover steps on golden sands and watches the ships..."

(oh and earlier in the week, i mentioned that i'm eccentric, not insane because rich people or genius' get to change the title. I'm the latter, not the former. Oh woe is me, cursed to know too much!)

How's everyone? Reading the last couple pages of posts, sounds like a good weekend for at least some of you. Alcohol helps, though it's difficult to find good bourbon in the UK.

Plas, where've you been of late? This gainful employment stuff has gone to your head.

"Girls' night out" and all they can think of is shopping.... Some things really are the same on both sides of the Atlantic.

I have to be mindful of timezones when posting on this thread, but it's occurred to me that since penguins inhabit Antarctica, Pengy can circum-waddle the South Pole and all twenty-four time zones in a matter of minutes. If he proceeds in a counterclockwise direction, he can take years off his age by crossing the dateline repeatedly....

Nop, tis book NINE of the series. The latest..... Chainfire cascade effect. Dun dun dun..... different from chimes. Terry Goodkind is the best!

Yep, Chainfire is the new one. It's the third last in the whole of the SoT series.

I agree, Stone of Tears rules. GRATCH!! So cute. Sisters of the Dark were craazy man. But Faith of the Fallen is my favourite. I loved Kahlan in that book, and Richard was just so COOL. Plus Nicci is so cool too. She really kicks ass in Chainfire in a 'look at me, I'm ex-Death's Mistress. I named Jagang Jagang the Just. I am the ex-Slave Queen. I have Subtractive Magic muahahaha' kind of way. It's so cool!!!! Goodkind really lets rip with the 'glory glory glory power' kind of thing, even with Richard (like at the end of Stone of Tears-- cords of subtractive magic..)

Chainfire is so good though. It's the first of the ending trilogy of the series--Chainfire trilogy. So the end of the book is not a total end like with the other books.

Ok, rant over all..
