Ukrainians spontaneously start fundraiser for Nukes

Welp Chioe and crew, I may have been hasty in my thoughts..... after "sleeping" on the thought of Zelensky and his possible possession of nuclear weapons..... I believe, should he have them, in the Mega-ton range, not the pussy kilo-ton stuff....... the city killers, 5 megs and greater .... now, now just hear me out..... (maybe aquire them from the French, they're cowards) weapons with a traceable "dna"....
The mad man of Kiev attacks/launches a few nukes into Russia..... Russia successfully intercepts all but one (the Russians are very good at missile interception) one, possibly 2 detonates killing several hundred thousand innocent Russians.
When, not if President Putin retaliates he will absolutely flatten Ukraine reducing Kiev to a radioactive ash pile. Then because of the prevailing winds the fallout of the nuclear detonations drift over most of Europe poisoning the air, the water, and the soil..... absolutely destroying the economy and plunging Europe into the dark ages, mass die offs from radiation, starvation, and exposure to not having electricity.....
Is this the world you warmonger's want? The end of civilization as we know it? Thing is this would trigger the absolute savage in mankind. the world will plunge into unspeakable violence....
Is this really worth giving a mad man (Zelensky) the ability to bring mankind to an end?
This is why this madman should never get the codes…never ever.

Actually, it's the other way round. Putin has been rattling his nukes non-stop. Ukraine havng their own nukes is a guarantee that Putin won't be stupid enough to use his when Ukraine beats his ass back to the 2014 borders, retaking Crimea and the Donbass.
No, you are incorrect, your mad man is desperate same as a cornered rat he will use any nuke he can find and no Ukraine is not going to beat the Russians ass's back...... you are blind and emotional, that's understandable..... salvage what you can and go from there.... just say'in 🤷‍♀️...... more and more good innocent Ukrainians will die the nation has little to no infrastructure that is serviceable... side note under the former crime family in power Biden has sent near all of our electrical transformers to Ukraine only to be destroyed by the Russians in short we "ain't got the surplus to ship"....Zelensky is a world security threat......

LOL. If Ukraine wanted nukes they'd just sling together dirty bombs and they could easily do that.

Okay, let me do a repost here. It's a bit long and THIS is the reality. Russia's war effort has peaked, the tide is turning - and a number of bloggers I follow, including a couple of ex-US military who are experts on Ukraine, have been forecasting this and the timeframe for about two years now. 2025 is the year things are forecast to turn around and lo and behold, it's happening. 2026 is the year Russia goes down. Now is NOT the time to be pulling Putin's balls out of the fire with bullshit ceasefires and an imposed defeat. Zelensky was right, and Trump and Vance are out to lunch. Forwhatever reason they have swallowed Russian propaganda hook, line and sinker, and it's probably best at this stage for Zelensky to walk away from their "peace negotiations" (which are more like "surrender and die" negotiations) and just ignore them. If they front up more aid, well and good. If not, they go down in history alongside Chamberlain and Petain. Trump could have been the statesman that won the Russia-Ukraine war the same way Reagan won the cold war. As it is, nope. Chamberlain. Or Quisling. Or Petain. More likely it'; go down in history as "Trump."

Ukraine’s Top Military Leadership: We Are Starting to Win, Russia Is Starting to Lose

When you read through the below, you can start to understand Zelensky's pushback on Trump and Vance. Ukraine has a far more accurate assessment of the reality on the ground than Trump or Vance, who are essentially aligned with, and parrotting, the Kremlin's propaganda. This really does lend credence to Trump and Vance, for whatever reasons, doing their best to force a ceasefire and "peace agreement" on Ukraine that will guarantee Russia's ability to requip, rearm and renew the invasion at a later date. Their refusal to provide a "security guarantee" lends further credence to their actively supporting Putin and Russia, as do their attempts to portray Ukraine as losing. Ukraine is well advised to just walk way from their bullshit as long as EU support is locked in, which it is.

In reality, Ukraine has fought Russia to a standstill, they are now seizing the initiative, Russia's strength is declining and will decline further over 2025, while the Ukrainian defence industry, backed by EU funding, is growing fast. An interesting stat: "About 85% of all Russian casualties and vehicle kills on the battlefield are scored by Ukrainian drones.." And 96% Ukrainian drones are made in Ukraine, with production set to double, if not triple, over 2025, undoubtedly leading to large increases in Russian casualties while their overall manpower declines - and Ukraine's grows, because Ukraine is nowhere near fully mobilized. Russia NEEDS a ceasefire. Trump and Vance are doung their best to give them one, on disadvantageous terms for Ukraine, cementing in a Russian victory.

When you read through the below, and understand the real situation, based on Ukraine's own assessment, you can see why Zelensky walked away from Trump and Vance in disgust. You can also see why Zelensky and the military are confident that Ukraine can keep on fighting. American support was critical to this point, but with the growth in the Ukrainian and European military industrial capabilities, it's not critical now to Ukraine continuing to fight on. Ukraine's drone manufactiring and warfare capabilities are an unexpected development that has changed the equation substantially, and in Ukraine's favor. The Ukrainian military has expanded fast, they have had issues with training and with their organizational and logistical structures as well as with corruption and incompetent sernior officers, but these are recognized and being addressed - maybe too slowly, but when you expand the way the ZSU has, there are a LOT of challenges to be faced - but the ZSU is facing them. Maybe not as fast as some would wish, but it's coming,

Not to get over confident, but losing American support at this point is, as Zelensky has said, unfortunate, but not the calamity that Trump and Vance make it out to be. They don't have any real leverage here, and the latest noises about Zelensky meeting Xi indicate Trump has overplayed his hand. That, and he's lost the EU as reliable allies.

Below is directly quoted from the article

Ukraine’s national military leadership, headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, projected confidence and even cautious notes of optimism about the future direction of their country’s fight against Russia’s invasion, contradicting recent White House claims their country faces imminent defeat by Moscow. Zelensky and members of the Ukrainian senior national security team made the comments at the conference “Ukraine. Year 2025” in the capital, Kyiv. Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s national military intelligence agency, HUR, said that his group’s collection assets in and outside Russia had strong evidence that Russian arms production during 2025 has flatlined and is likely to contract, because of parts and labor shortages.

Russian arms factories probably will manage manufacturing growth in glide bombs and drones, but the overall trend of Kremlin capacity to deliver weapons to its military is downward, Budanov said. Russia’s government plans in 2025 to induct into military service 100,000 men less than in 2024, Budanov said. Russian combat units already are chronically short of soldiers and the cut will worsen the Kremlin’s ability to deliver troop replacements to the front, he said. Vasyl Malyuk, head of Ukraine’s national security service, the SBU, said that Russia’s energy industry is losing capacity and that, since spring 2024, Russia ceased exporting gasoline in a bid to suppress price rises at the pump. Falling Russian energy production capacity due to equipment shortages caused by Western sanctions, and dozens of strikes by long-range Ukrainian drones targeting Russian oil refineries and fuel storage sites, cost the Russian economy $11 billion in lost income, and the losses are likely to accelerate, Malyuk said.

Budanov said Russian shell production was only able to produce about half of all Russian army needs. North Korean deliveries are filling that gap, but Pyonyang’s ammunition reserves are limited, he said. Oleh Ivashchenko, head of Ukraine’s national foreign intelligence service the SVR, said that Russian forces were nearing exhaustion due to heavy losses, particularly in men and battlefield heavy weapons like tanks and artillery. “Russia needs a ceasefire to respite in order to restore the economy, accumulate supplies, and prepare the army,” Ivashchenko said. “Difficult times and new challenges await us ahead. But we have a combat-ready army that will continue the fight,” Syrsky said. “The enemy’s objective is unchanged – the capture of all of Ukraine.”

Ukraine’s transition from a marginal producer to, probably, the world’s most prolific drone manufacturing nation, was held up by officials as a key success. Defense Minister Ruslan Umerov said 96% of all drones fielded by the Ukrainian military are domestically manufactured. Syrsky said during 2024, Ukrainian drone producers delivered more than 1.3 million robot aircraft to the armed forces. About 85% of all Russian casualties and vehicle kills on the battlefield are scored by Ukrainian drones, Malyuk said. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that in 2024, Ukrainian production of small arms ammunition, mortar rounds, shells, and artillery rockets had increased six-fold. Volumes will increase and domestic war manufacturing will help give Ukraine victory over Russia, he said.

During a question-and-answer session with reporters at the end of the presentation, Zelensky said that media claims about Ukraine’s alleged near-total dependence on American assistance were inaccurate, and that, in fact, Ukraine’s war effort is roughly equally supported by the national economy, allied countries, and the US. The American contribution is significant but by no means dominant, Zelensky said. “This war [so far has cost] $320 billion. $120 billion - Ukraine, $100 billion – Europe and other partners, $100 billion - the USA. Not $500, not $300, and not $700,” he said. US officials, led by Zelensky’s American counterpart, Donald J. Trump, in past weeks had claimed American support to Ukraine was effectively Kyiv’s only means of sustaining warfighting capacity and that as much as one-third of the entire US defense budget had been sent to and lost in Ukraine. The figure most recently claimed by Trump was $350 billion. Independent fact-checks, among them, fact-checks by Kyiv Post, have generally confirmed the numbers advanced by Zelensky, and found no credible support for the figures put forward by Trump.

We'll see Chloe... only time will tell.... either way not our monkey, not our circus...... as long as my tax dollars aren't pissed away on Zelensky and his crew...and none of my soldiers die for your cause.... at this point you or I can't discern the truth frome the false.... and yes Zelensky can and will "sling" a dirty bomb or two and he will use it thus triggering a nuclear exchange..... and if Zelensky doesn't need our support why was he here begging and why have we been shipping our systems to Ukraine... the optics just doesn't support the narrative....just say'in....

P.s. Chloe..... dirty bombs won't do shit other than piss off the world.... to be of any use he needs city killers.....Ukraine would be reduced to a radioactive ash pile..... just say'in 🤷‍♀️

Oh he needs the support, and he really needed it for the first two years - but at this point, they needs it, they wants it, but they can survive without it. Which is a big step foreward. There;s also stuff like Patriots that Ukraine needs, but they only got a few and zilch of what they needed from the US so that won't change anyhow. Sounds like they've accepted they won;t be getting any more from us and and they're working on their own anyhow. Ditto a bunch of other stuff they needs. They may end up taking our market away as a result. A little shortsighted of Biden an Trump both. It's entirely likely that instead of a huge market for our defence industry, our market will shrink dramatically as a result of Trump being an idiot. EU will certainly turn to designing and building their own stuff seriously now.

Ukraine is turning itself into a military-industrial powerhouse, based on battle-proven equipment and technology. After they've won, they'll be selling their stuff all over Europe and the world, which is why all the defence companies are cuttig deals now. Rheinmetall certainly knows how to do a risk/reward analysis - they wouldn't be investing in Ukraine they way they are of they thought Ukraine was going to lose. They're even putting in their own air defense systems to defend their factories.

We always think of ourselves as the best military in the world - but in point of fact, and ignorig size, it's probably the Brits. The SAS and SBS eat our special forces for lunch, and Europe is the most warlike continent on the planet. They demilitarized and disarmed and went all pussy for a reason after WW2 and the Cold War, but Trump has just woken the sleeping giant. And with Ukraine, Poland and Finland, you are talking large militaries - add in a remilitarized Germany, France, UK and Sweden - and Italy and Spain - and when they get their act together, they'll make us insignificant.

Nope, Trump and Vance really did not think this one thru.

For myself, I would say sell them old Bradleys and M1's and F16's and A10's and old Blackhawks at book value, and likewise anything else they want or need. Lend-lease, let them pay it back in time the way the UK paid for their WW2 stuff, or refund us from seized Russian assets. Either way, no more throwing money away as Biden did. Make it very transparent, what we're selling them, how much we're charging for it and how it is being paid for. No more Biden-style grifting and scamming. Don't waste time withe fake ceasefires and security guarantees. Let Ukraine beat the snot out of Russia and restablish their borders. If Russia begs, broker end of war negotations, and make it conditional on reparations and war criminals handed over to The Hague - maybe even work with Xi to break Russia up.

Trump won't do that tho. The way he's carrying on, one would think he's been bought and paid for by Putin. Millions dead, my ass. A million Russians, maybe, and another million before Putin eats a lead pill, but what the heck. They started it. They can die until they give up. No sympathy from me there. We're at the pint where the only good Russian is a dead one. Or a refugee. Fuck 'em.

P.s. Chloe..... dirty bombs won't do shit other than piss off the world.... to be of any use he needs city killers.....Ukraine would be reduced to a radioactive ash pile..... just say'in 🤷‍♀️
I'd see dirty bombs as contingency myself. "You nuke us and we'll crop dust Russia to the Urals." Load up 10,000 drones with radioactve waste and send them out, spraying as they go....Nothing will stop that.....it just needs to be discussed a bit....allusions made in the press.....asides to military attaches .....unofficial comments off th record....

The knowledge that it can be done and the implied threat is all thats needed....which is why Putin WON'T ever nuke Ukraine - because he knows they CAN do it. ANd likely would if a nuke was used on them - or they'd blow a Russian nuclear reactor and cause a Russian Chernobyl....

Once Zelensky crosses that threshold Ukraine will cease to exist.....
Zelensky doesn't need the west? Ok we'll collect our missile systems, logistics and satellite targeting.... fuk him..
Now you say "just sell him what he needs..... OK where is the money going to come from? "Show me the green" so to speak.... his economy is in destroyed, where is his food coming from?
Do you realize that America is not the only country to have "proxy" armies? .... the Mexican cartels are at my southern border funded by the Chinese and the Russians, equipped with weapons Zelensky stole from the Ukrainian military sold on the black market these are Chinese/Russian proxy armies.... just waiting for the green light.....
Example there are 7-9 critical substations that provide power to 75% of the lower 48.... cripple these and the electrical grid fails plunging us into darkness... no they can't be repaired quickly because we sent our shit to the ukies (fuking us) in the process....
This country's population will tear itself apart in the ensuing looting, murder and horrific violence....with the left/democrats and liberals starting a hot civil war.....
This can all be achieved with hand held weapons...... be careful what you wish for because that war will be on your front porch before you can blink.....just say'in 🤷‍♀️ in my humble opinion..
One more thought.... your intel? Is it propaganda or is it not? With enough money experienced people will say what they are paid to say... unless you have eyes only Intel, your information is open source same as mine.... keep in mind the "kazars" will fight the Russians to the last Ukrainian....

And in return, we return or refund the replacement cost of the nukes, aircraft and cruise missiles Ukraine handed over in return for our (obviouslt worthless) gaurantee.

Now you say "just sell him what he needs..... OK where is the money going to come from? "Show me the green" so to speak.... his economy is in destroyed, where is his food coming from?

Seized Russian funds. Lend-lease, the way we financed the UK in WW2. The book value on that old stuff is next to nil. They're literally sold for their recycling value. That's what's so farcial about this "Ukraine owes us billions." NO! The billions is the funding for the new stuff going to the US military that replaces the old stuff from the desert storage depots that we gave to Ukraine, and the old end of life ammo that costs a fortune ti dispose of. Money is not needed. Just send them more old gear, value it at book value, and one of the EU countries will pay for it without a peep.

As for food - have you seen the figures on Ukrainian agricultural exports - shiploads of the stuff - I have a FB friend who officers on cargo ships - he takes tanker ships full of sunflower oil from Odessa to China.....Ukraine ain't gonna run out of food.

The "Ukraine sold weapons on the black market" is pure bullshit. There's audit trails for all that stuff and the US military tracks and audits fairly well. None has gone missing. And if they wanted stuff, they'd jusy buy it from the Mexican Army

Example there are 7-9 critical substations that provide power to 75% of the lower 48.... cripple these and the electrical grid fails plunging us into darkness... no they can't be repaired quickly because we sent our shit to the ukies (fuking us) in the process....

LOL. We can fix anything and replace anything. We have generators out the ying yang. Big, small, and in between. Heck, my husband and I have one for winter power failures. It's useful. Substations? As for the cities - hook up a warship of its coastal. All sorts of ways to deal with that. We have a zillion pounts of failure. Water supply is a big one. Just in time supermarkets. Rail system. Highways. Airports. You name it.

Oh yeah. I agree with that. LOL. That's why I recommend living next to left wing vegans. Emergency food.....and they won't be missed when you harvest them....that said, it won;t be the democrats starting a hot civil war. They don't have the guns or the ammo or, by and arge, the training. More likely it'll be the zombie hordes. And they can't organize or shoot for shit. They'll kill each other off first.

One more thought.... your intel? Is it propaganda or is it not? With enough money experienced people will say what they are paid to say... unless you have eyes only Intel, your information is open source same as mine.... keep in mind the "kazars" will fight the Russians to the last Ukrainian....

Mostly open source, various media, and Ukrainian bloggers - with a couple of exceptions (private contacts who I ask questions of now and then) who have a background in Ukraine with the military (US) and their own sources in the Ukrainian military. You goes thru all the materials and you makes your own assessments and draws your conclusions. Some will say one thing, some another, some (esp on Twitter) are not that reliable but you use them to cross check....

As for the cities - hook up a warship of its coastal. All sorts of ways to deal with that. We have a zillion pounts of failure. Water supply is a big one. Just in time supermarkets. Rail system. Highways. Airports. You name it.

Welp, here we go....with all due respect.....my "outdated equipment" is worth what it takes to replace said equipment not a dime less... I wouldn't need to replace it at current prices if said equipment wasn't shipped to Ukraine...simple economics
We pull our missile systems, satellite targeting logistics ect.... we stop securing shipping lanes for Ukraine unless they pay for the cost , simple economics....have Zelensky go begging the EU for the war material... as a reminder Germany's economy is on the cusp of collapse google Germany's central bank while you are there ck out vw and basf .... spoiler alert last Thursday and Friday the bank couldn't cover the 1.7 trillion dollar transfers....fuk Europe....
No, we are not extending credit to Zelensky he is unreliable and the little napoleon took a shit I'm my white house in particular the oval office.....also the turd met with Victoria Nuland and associates just before his meeting with the Don, they told the little fuk to reject the deal... bet'cha didn't know that, did'ja? All in violation of the Logan act....
I would want to see/read the actual agricultural production numbers without "creative accounting" I farm and ranch I know exactly what it takes to raise crops.... I believe the numbers are "in your words" bullshit
Now shure you have a generator, how about fuel? It's noisy, everyone in two mile radius will know the sound and come a knocking with kinetic projectile launchers, as far as untrained, your dead wrong a good many of the liberals and democrats are not stupid and are well trained and hunger is a real motivator......
No, a very sizable amount of electrical producing, trans state shipping, and handling of high voltage equipment is highly specialized not easily repaired especially if the evil side is destroying the infrastructure faster than we can repair said infrastructure..... let alone the attacks on the trucking industry, ie high jacking. Ect....
And yes, inspite of "audits" the corrupt Ukraine government has been selling us hardware on the black market....
Points to ponder.......
Ps this doesn't even take into consideration what effects this will have on the stock market....just say'in

Holy crap the amount of direct Russian talking points here is insane. The black market line is hilarious

Not how it works. You pay new prices, you get new equipment. We have thousands of these things in storage. They are constantly shipping Bradley's off to be recycled.

As for the rest of it, I know you're not going to change your viewpoint, and anyhow, neither you nor I can influence a thing, so lets just leave it there and continue to watch.

And I just read, the guy that started the fundraiser did it as half-joke, half-bugged reaction and was a little stunned at the donations. They money raised is all going towards drones.....

Yep, all sorts of ramifications to Trump and Vance going rogue...

Ukrainians started pooling cash for nuclear weapons following a heated dispute between Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump. Monobank co-founder Oleh Gorokhovsky opened the fundraiser at users’ request, he announced on his Telegram channel on March 1. “Lots of requests to start a ‘nuke’ fundraiser. Here’s the jar,” he wrote. Within 30 minutes, it collected 2 million hryvnias ($48,272), soaring past 21 million ($506,852) and counting. “About 70,000 donors from 61 countries,” Horokhovsky said.

“After Ukraine, the U.S. donates the most, then Poland. Thanks, friends! Americans and Poles are our closest allies, no doubt.”

That's not true all they will do is invite nuclear war in Europe. Even if they hadn't given up their 500 nukes they would be no match for the 6000 held by Russia.

Ukrainians should have all the nukes

Numbers in a nuclear exchange are irrelevant past a certain point. All Ukraine needs are enough to make a credible deterrent. Similar to France and the UK.

Ever serve on a navy frigate? My nephew did, in the us pacific fleet. Before going in for shore leave the funnest time was shooting off all the 500 mm and under ammo. Seems that salt water and nitrate don't get along all that well. So you expended instead of destroying it.

Ukraine just did you guys a favour...

Fair enough chloe..... for what it's worth I've/l learn a good deal from our visits....

Some of what you say is true and some of it is contractual, the best to state this if it's not expended the ship will be reduced by that amount.... at least that's the way it used to be.... give or take....

Not how I was told. It's shoot it off,or unload it to be destroyed. Why would munitions be limited via non expenditure? Makes no sense. A ship must be mission capable at sea.
