He's not really sleeping with his niece, he's sleeping with his favorite fictional character, as cosplayed by his niece. By the time he stops rationalizing the relationship things have already gotten impossibly complicated.

She snuck off to another relative in another state to have her baby girl. She moved back with her daughter several years later, no one the wiser to who was the sperm donor.

Back to present time, Uncle and Niece are inexplicitly drawn together and, during the annual family Fourth of July fireworks show, begin to surrepticiously grope one and kiss one another at the back of the group. Later that night, he's sleeping in the family RV in the driveway when there is a knock on the door. Is it his sister....or his "niece"?

1. Uncle and "niece" actually fall in love and it becomes a problem.
2. "Niece" finds out. Is disgusted and attracted at the same time. Some kind of resolution.
3. Sister and "niece" throw away all inhibitions and threesome the "uncle".
4. Uncle and niece have a great time for a few years. Niece moves on to downtown life and they slowly let go of each other, knowing that niece will need to have a normal life. Uncle and sister move in together because sister is divorced/widowed and pick up their relationship. The world just figures they are saving money and helping each other out.

And back to this original idea, there's something so cute about an uncle and niece who are the same age falling in actual love.
