Underworld Casting Call (Ideas!)

This is just really an idea, giving the movie a twist for those who haven't seen it. Wanted to see if people would be interested in it as I thought it would be fun. As much fun as it always is to just get right to the sex (woo hoo!), I wanted to get really enveloped in the story. The darkness that envelopes both races, that hatred and somewhat need for the other in a way. The complete obliviousness that the normal world has to what is going on. People being lured into fantasies of what either life would be like due to the movies, only to be awakened to the harsh light of what it's really like.

If anybody's up for it, go on ahead and hit this up. Let your ideas flow and see where we can go from there. If you have a char in mind, go on ahead and put them down here.

Name: Rayne
Clan: Lycan; Leader of "The Pack" (Much the way Selene is a "Death Dealer", Rayne handles the dirty work as it may be)
Appearance: She stands at the height of 5'7", straight raven black hair, a dark bronzed complexion and a curvaceous body of nothing but toned muscle (120 lbs.). She wears, what seems to be, a gangster's ensemble- black pin striped slacks and wife beater, a flowing but sleek black trench over that. She wears sunglasses at all times, her eyes being completely black. (Irises and the whites as well)
Attitude: She's quiet, too quiet, but that's something the Alpha males (elders) love about her. She asks no questions when ordered to get something done, making her the ideal assassin. Being made the leader of "The Pack", she's the smarter of the species (being female of course. ). She takes that extra step of thinking of the outcomes, which makes a few of the others think about her. But don't get it twisted, she's very much a ferocious killing machine as her counterparts. She has a dark, malicious humor about her. Wanting nothing more than to wipe out the threatening race.

As you can see, I want you guys to put some thought into your chars, give them a really deep meaning. The kind people get caught up on and attached to. If this has a good casting call, we'll get into more of specifics of where it should take place and how the city should be like and so on and so forth. Have fun with it.

You know, I always love werewolves and vampires. I didn't watch the movie, so I'm not sure quite which references to go for though.
People have tons of different legends on vampires, and werewolves, so I don't know how Underworld did it.
I would love to play, maybe some innocent guy who gets caught up in it all, or a fearless leader, bound to help his kind, or even someone who was just turned, trying to cope with his new life.

Poohlive: I think I saw on a thread something about a Happy Birthday to you... *L* Happy Belated Birthday. Don't worry about not having seen the movie because I haven't either, to tell you the truth. I only know little bits and pieces of it, most of it being what I first posted. But the movie is based on modern times, with high tech weapons as the vamps and werwolves try to wipe the other out. The elders believe that one day there will be piece, but the younger and newer generation don't think so. If their territory is invaded, they do what they have to. The "posers", the ones that want to be either one or the other, go to those dark clubs in hopes of being picked to be a part of that "family". But in reality they're nothing more than blood bags and worthy little pieces of skin for whomever to do what they want with.

If you have any suggestions, please, feel more than free to post them up as there are different views on vamps and wolves and I understand. Welcome.

Hmmm, well, I don't want to go too far into the whole doctrine of vampires versus werewolves, but I think we first should establish strength and weakness. That way, we know where the creatures stand against each other, and people have a better way of knowing who, or what, they want to be.

Like, for instances, werewolves are stronger than vampires, but their strength comes in short bursts. So, for a time, when they rage, they have almost super unheard of stength, but after a while, the muscles get tired, and the strength wavers.

Vampires have strength, much more than a human, but their strength is not that of a werewolf. However, they have constant power for their bouts of physical energy. When they are strong, they are strong for hours. So long as they feed on a regular basis, they are fine.

Vampires are smarter, werewolves are more agile, and dexterous. Things of that nature.

Vampires can only come out at night. Werewolves can come out any time, but they are more stronger when the moon is out, and even still when its full.
I would assume that werewolves can control when they change, except for new ones starting out, and control how much energy they use, or whether they use any at all. It'd be like a battery they have.


Just ideas of mine. You can take some, throw out others. Just things I've seen in movies and RPG's that have worked for both wolves and vamp's in the past.
I'll write up a character tomorrow, maybe even two, if I'm feeling up to it.

i would like to be a vampyre

Name: Luc

Clan: Ventrue

Appearance: looking as though he stopped aging at 23 Luc stands at 6 feet, however when standing in the shadows he looks much taller. he is very lean his complexion is clear with white skin, having some what of an ageless look. hi attire is almost always a double breasted black suit with a black shirt with white buttons sometimes he wears his silver vest. in his front left coat pocket he wears a silver kercheif, and on the right lapel is a black rose. his eyes are white with jet black pupils and red irises, at his hip in a black leather scabbard is a ritualistic dagger which he keeps with him at all times.

Attitude: although not outspoken Luc makes sure his opinion is heard and understood the first time he says it, because he hates to repeat himself. he is always calm and rather easy going, unless of course his plans are being ruined by carelessness. his temper is almost always very low but when peaked it can be quite terrifying. Luc is never one to follow directions his intellect being very high he's always able to talk others into doing the grunt work for him. though Luc usually is a lone soldier. he finds working alone gets things done quicker, and theyre done to his liking. in a battle Luc finds it neccesary to follow the rules of engagement, fair fights only. always the perfect gentleman most women find Luc to be desireable due to his intellect, tastes, mannerisms, and style. he is indeed a classic romantic.

his startegies are always carefully planned. even his last minute ones. his knack for knowing what his enemy is thinking is impeccable. being immensely strong and nubile his agility is unmatched. his senses are acute and he is known for not losing fights even if it means great sacrifices.

his hatred for the lycan is strong and runs deep however he never lets his emotions get the best of him. and he can and will kill relentlessly and without emotion if to further his cause.
