Unexpected Tease(Closed)

“Sappy romances? Really? Interesting. I have a co-worker you might hit it off with. She likes to read too and she said sometimes those sorts of books are perfect for just not thinking too much and just reading. Helps to remind her of positives in people cause we see a lot of the negatives.” She adjusted again, leaning a bit towards him as she tucked a leg under herself.

She flicked through titles.

“Lighthearted…what sort of sense of humour do you have? Are you a Monty Python, The Office or like…Modern Family?”

Olivia ran a hand through her hair, shifting it and unwittingly flicking it towards him. She stifled a yawn. She wanted to get to know him more, he was Jack’s friend after all and she didn’t know many of them other than stories. She wanted to hang out, something she rarely got to do with her job. She was home when others weren’t and it was nice to have company this time. She didn’t get her hopes up, he had a job that would keep him busy like everyone else but right now, he was all hers to get to know and talk to.

"I can agree that sappy romances tend to be good for turning the brain off. Good for passing the time as well."

The continuation of safe discussion topics were, if nothing else, helping to keep his libido in check. Even having Victoria in close proximity wasn't causing him too much issue, at least for the moment. Distractions were always good for that, and it helped William keep in mind that she was just being friendly. The pleasant aroma of soap was just as easily ignored, or at least acknowledged only in passing as he continued to follow the flow of conversation.

"Would it be wrong of me to admit I've never seen the Office? Heard about it, of course, know random tidbits from friends and the like, but never actually seen it myself. Grew up on Monty Python though... probably a younger audience than it was intended for, but well... my family's always been a bit flippant with things like that."
