I care about Iran because my Persian friends and neighbors care. I assumed for years that nothing could stop the repression and brutality. But the breaking of Hamas and Hezbollah has presented a unique opportunity. I don’t think Israel is acting altruistically in this war. They’re not fighting to free the Iranians. But I take heart in the fact that friendship between Israelis and Iranians is in the long term best interest of both countries.
It very sad to see so many on left cheerleading a theocracy that just last month massacred tens of thousands of their own people. Where were the pro-Palestinian protesters when innocents were being tortured and slaughtered in Tehran?
I was at Georgetown University during the Iran-Iraq war. One often saw Iranian expats with signs warning about Khomeini's "lust for a theocratic empire." Didn't do much for their credibility, since Iran was NOT the aggressor in that war.
Cuban expats are even stupider.
