We rely on oil prices which is based on an international commodities market as well as the number of refineries to produce gasoline.

All products that are made from oil have been and will continue to be impacted by the war in Iran and their blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the administration was aware that this would happen prior to the start of their war.

Oil prices are based on the WORLD commodity market supply/demand. With Iran's oil unavailable, some countries must now buy oil from other sources and that increases demand on the reduced supply.
