Fran led the way from shop to shop until they finally hit paydirt. "They ought to call this place SlutsRUs," she chuckled, tugging at Allie's arm and pulling her into a boutique that seemed perfect for their needs.
If anyone had asked Allie to describe the outfit Fran finally settled on, she might have managed to say small. Very, very small. Oh, and red. As for her own, it was only slightly larger, but at least it wasn't sheer. Three hundred and ninety six dollars lighter between them, the two friends headed toward the dining room for lunch, their slutwear would be delivered to their respective cabins later.
Allie hesitated as they approached the table where the guys were seated, earning an arched eyebrow from her best friend and another barrage of questions from Fran who'd been at her for the past two hours picking and tugging for an explanation of Allie's runaround comments whenever she mentioned Chris. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk about it with Fran, it was just that she couldn't. For the first time in all their lives, she just couldn't. Not before she saw him. Not before they talked.
"Hey there, big boy," Fran whispered into Jack's ear as she sidled up beside her husband and sat down.
Chris' eyes bored into hers with a myriad of unasked questions when Allie smiled and walked toward the empty chair between him and Dan. "Hey there," Dan schmoozed, taking Allie's hand to kiss as he had earlier. "You remember my wife, Mandy?"
Allyson nodded and waggled her fingers toward the still scantily clad woman, hoping beyond hope that Fran would monopolize the conversation so she could slip off to the buffet. Just when she'd given up, Chris' hand was on her elbow and he was leaning toward her. "I'm up for seconds. Go with me?"
Her blush didn't go unnoticed by old eagle-eye Fran, but even so, Allie was glad of the reprieve. She didn't want to discuss this evening's soiree or sex or anything else for that matter. Her thoughts were spinning like a whirlpool and her body... She tried to avoid Chris' eyes as she accepted, but it was impossible to deny her body's reaction to his touch.
