USA-Vote Tomorrow!

Not much, sadly  My vote won't count for shit. I'll cast it anyway.
Mingepuss, I have to say that was a bit ungracious. I honestly don't know what my vote is worth but I will feel good voting no matter the outcome.

Perdita :)

Sorry, Dita. It's hard to feel like my vote means anything when all 10 electoral votes in my state will go to Bush regardless of whether I vote or not. I've got a case of electoral bitterness, I suppose.

From the other side of the Atlantic I am not qualified to advise anyone how to vote.

What I will say is that the dead soldiers of WWII fought to preserve your right to choose (and that of Europe and much of the Pacific).

You should honour those who fought and died for your freedoms by making a choice, using your vote, even if you see the choice is between two alternatives neither of which you like.

Choosing what you see as best (or least worst) might be difficult but it is not as hard as dying for the right to vote.

Thanks for reminding us, Oggbashan.

I agree with you, Dita but we have a senator running against token opposition and the Dems are so sure they will win in California that nobody is campaigning much here. I just moved to a new location so I don't know much about the member of congress or anything about the local pols. I will definitely vote on the propositions, though. They mean a lot to us. At least some of them do.

Oh I shall be voting tomorrow. We have to give the courts something to do don't we? (Of course I'm waiting to see the true choosing being done live on TV. The Court Channel will be sure to air it live.)

Now my big decision will be what shirt to wear? I have narrowed it down to three:
A) A monkey face on a black background. (The monkey is looking around suspicously.) Captioned "Who Flung Poo"
B) A red shirt with white lettering. "Pope for Pres"
C) My all time favorite. A mouse flipping off a diving Eagle. Captioned "Last Great Act of Defiance"

It's tomorrow, right?

Just checking.

They are expecting such a large turnout that they've decided to divide it up.

Kerry supporters are asked to vote on Tuesday, and Bush supporters to come in on Wednesday.

I have never voted in an election because I, for the most part, hate politics. However I will make note when reviewing all the candidates (there is more than two) and all I can say is, if I were an American citizen I'd be damn bummed if this is all I was offered.

On the bright side, I could vote for a sanitary commisioner.

Does this mean that all these horseshit political threads that I have to wade through everytime I come in here will finally disappear?

Maybe. Give it 2 months more after the post-election court-wrangling is done. Maybe give it two more months for the threads about the court-wrangling finishing and thus places the tiara on the victor's head.
