Back from NY. It rained the whole time except for the day of the wedding. I had another kidney problem whilst there.
The wedding was in a Catholic church and they held Mass, Instead of kneelers, I had a chair to sit in each time bride and groom knelt. They had a cool priest, he joked most of the time. In his homily, he kept giving a countdown.
Then the wedding party was off for the perfect outdoor location for pictures. Went across town to Japanese garden by small lake. The photographer kept us moving for an hour. I were in pain, and trying not to show it.
Then off to reception. We sat for eight course meal. yes I ate a little of each, then the dancing started. I did my best to dance with m. of h. and bride, then had one of groomsmen take me back to house. I stayed a few more days to visit with brides family. By Monday, my kidneys were ok again.
Yesterday, the plane had malfunction and we were delayed several hours waiting for it to come from Atlanta. Another overbooked flight so several people were bumped, thankfully I had paid a small fee to make sure I wasn't one of them as my son and his wife were leaving town for the day.
After taking the train across Atlanta, I picked up my little car and was on my way home. I had misfortune to watch car in front of me miss a curve in the rain, so I had to wait in rain with frightened couple for police to take statements. Luckily for them, their adventure in the gully did not end up with a tree. So, I came home and blanked out for hours coming down from adrenaline rush.
I have a few pics I took of wedding party, but most will have to wait until I get pics from son taken by the professional. No, not going to show them here. Maybe he took a few of me(only) that I'll show later.
