I just got off the phone with our friend. He is in the hospital getting in his words "some serious shit." He will be hooked up to an IV drip for 3 days 24/7 getting an intensive dose of chemo.

So far so good and at this point he is handling it pretty good. I teased that for a rather small man he has some giant size courage.While he may have lost a lot of his hair he certainly has not lost his sense of humor

I will call him tomorrow and if there is anything new I will leave a post

Thanks Beam, its sad news, but I talked to him on the phone last week and he is so amazing.

When you talk to him, give him my love and let him know thinking of him, and not only me he has so many friends that cary him in there

Now I know they ripped out part of his guts when they did the last surgery but I'm thinking it must have grown back cause you said it Sis "he's one hell of a gutsy man"

Just got off the phone and our friend is doing well.He has been able to eat and is not suffering from any nausea.So far so good.He is pretty sure he will be home sometime on Saturday and will have nurses coming in on Monday,Wednesday and Friday next week to do some additional testing.

Keeping fingers crossed that this round of treatment will do the trick.

Read in the paper this morning that they've determined ginger does a good job of reducing nausea due to chemo. Probably too late for george right now ... butttttt ... I've got a butt load of ginger in my backyard that suddenly seems like a good cash crop!

home again. Spent most of the week being filled up
with more poison. Now I get to wait three weeks and do it again!!!
Well, not just wait, I get to fill up on a couple liters of stuff three times
a wk to flush the other stuff out....and let me tell you, they sent me home
with a prescription pad filled up! yikes


It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Not good though. I've had some great
calls, cards, e-mails, yms to help pass some of the time.....thanks
