Valley of Shadow (Extreme Western Horror)

I had jumped into the saloon just before someone began spraying the zombies with a gatling gun. I managed to make it to the safety of the floor in time. After the firing stopped, someone yelled to everyone to run to a safer location. I followed the group, figured safety in numbers.

Tex

Tex saw some zombie creatures entering the saloon. ripping into them to save those in the Saloon, whitout thinking he could just as easily tear them apart, he fired.

the Gun ran out of shells. spitting out the belt the barrels slowly stopped spinning and came to rest. Tex ran forward into the Saloon.

I was running out the back with the others when I heard the front door open. Bastards must have followed us in. I cocked my shotgun and waited for the backdoor to open again, so that I could take the undeads' heads right off their necks.

Jake Dawson

Perched as he was on the upstairs window, Jake had a safe and unimpieded view of the destruction of the gatling gun. "Good 'ol Tex," he said with a laugh.

Below, the men inside had apparently fallen back, as the zombie hord was pressing in through the doors and windows. Unloading his shotgun straight down, and in the process splitting one poor bugger right down the middle(which was quite a sight), Jake crawled out on to the roof of the saloon. From this vantage point Jake could see small pockets of humans moving through the streets. He could see one man running towards the sheriff's office, which he thought was a good idea. He ran along the rooftops, shadowing the man, towards the jailhouse.

Tex

Tex waved for Felicity to come over quickly and ran into the Saloon. "hey! is anybody here? i was sure there were people here! he noticed the back door ajar, and waiting unti;; Felicity was beside him, he went for the door."

Fissure Rameriez

The door opened and I steadied my aim, good thing I'm on my game right now they were human. "Come we're running out the back."

Sticking by Tex's side, she heard an answer from the dark "Come, we're running out the back"

Cautiously dodging the battered chairs and tables and smashed glass, not to mention rotten body parts, Felicity made her way with Tex to the back of the saloon.

Tex

Tex ran out the back door and joined the small group of people, who had temporarily taken shelter where there were no oddities. with Feliecity by him they joined the small group.

Trying to see in the dark, Felicity had trouble telling who had come out with them, but it seemed a few people were there.

Speaking out among the murmering voices, Felicity said "I think we should head to the sheriffs office, organise ourselves from there, not out in the open like this!"

Fissure Rameriez

"No we should head to the church, foul beasts of hell won't be able to enter it's sacred doors."

Tex

Tex had never been a religious man, but he had gone into the church before, and how did any of them know these were spawns of satan?

"if i had my say, i'd say go someone open. so we can see all of them when they come."

Statler

Everyone was making sense, but no one made enough sense, save Felicity of course. I looked her over, making sure there were no injuries apparent, but glanced away when i thought her gaze had found me. I didn't want her to see me staring, or even looking, not after our last falling out. I probably shouldn't have spoken to the woman after the falling out we'd had before that.
"No, the church won't do...the windows are stained glass...they'll break under enough pressure, and those things, in mass, can apply plenty of pressure. We need to find immediate safety, then decide there what to do next," I suggested. "But first, Doc, I need you to have a look at Gabby..."
I waited for a response.
"Doc?"
I looked around. He was nowhere to be seen. I looked to Jesiah. He shrugged.Shit, I thought. He was watching my money."Let's find a safer place, someplace large enough but..."
I heard the sound of footsteps from Saloon. They were unorganized but unrushed, and clumsily loud.
"We've got to go," I said. "Tex, you and the new guy," I pointed to the man who'd suggested we go to the church, "take half of them and find a place to hold up. We'll do better to stay in two groups, keep them separated as well. Jesiah and I will take the other half and head toward the whorehouse."
I glanced back to make sure none had come up from behind us, but none had.
I waited for Tex or the new guy to respond.

Tex

Tex stared at the man. "you're going to go to the whorehouse? what the hell kinda prtecten do yah git there? whatcha gonna do? squirt 'em with lubricants?

"folla me my group, lets head for some high ground. maybe fet some hold in some trees. donno of those things can climb yit, and if they try, we can knock 'em off just as easiy as shoot them."

Fissure Rameriez

I cocked my shotgun, "I'm with you, long as I've got my gun and the lord I'll fight them off."

Statler

I nodded to the two, "Good luck to both of you...you people, make your choice, which you'll go with. We haven't the time for much debate."
I waited as some of them headed overto Tex and the new guy and some of them gathered closer to Jesiah and myself. I wondered where Felicity would go, but did so quietly.

Flinging her hands up in dispair at the mens suggestions - one group to head to the hills, the other heading to the whorehouse?

Spinning on her heel, Felicity stormed off, heading in the direction of the Sheriffs. Surely if there's anyone else of any brains in this town they would head there? The sheriff's was well defended with stout walls - after all, it had to keep drunks and violent offenders away from Lynch mobs and the like..

Her anger fueling her, Felicity made her way quickly to the Sheriffs. Whenever she saw a zombie she aimed from the hip and took off its head with a blast of her shotgun.

Why are men such idiots! she was thinking And what was that look of Statlers? Roaming his eyes all over me like he owned me. The nerve of him! After all we've been through together and he thinks I'm dependant on him? Bah! I'm perfectly capable of looking after myself!

Fissure

I turned to my new ally as they headed to their post, "Name's Fissure, Fissure Rameriez, what's you name friend?"

Tex

Tex watched Felicity walk off. surely, by herself she would not last long. she didn have a point, sherrifs over the whorehouse at least. but Tex still prefered his chances high up, where all around him was upen, and he was at least a little covered. "alright. lets head for the hill. and bring everytin ya's all can!"

Tex

Tex smiled at he ran. "makes Tex, Fissure. just Tex. glad you're joining us here"

Fissure cracked a smile, "Thanks. The Lord brought me here for a purpose and I intend to fufill it. Say you wouldn't have a canteen would you?"

Tex

Tex though for a sec. "hmm i dont think so, but we could probably come across a stream or well. then we can use something else."

Felicity quickly arrived at the Sherrif's. It seemed the zombies had moved to another part of town. Probably focusing on the larger concentration of souls elsewhere.

Opening the door, Felicity went inside.

Fissure Rameriez (Out till Monday)

I was climbing up the hill when I suddenly heard the sound of wood cracking and then felt myself fall. I landed into an underground lake, apparently there was an old mine shaft here that had flooded. I figured I would follow the submerged tunnel to see where it lead me.

Tex

Tex came to the clearing and began climbing a tree, along with the others that had followed him. where was Fissure? Tex made his way slowly, with so much weight in firepwer and ammunition. but when he reached his pearch, he could see clearly all around him. the town was practically swarming now.
