Many years ago I wound up in a bar in Columbus, Ohio with a few friends and a group of Aussies. The next day, dying from a severe hangover, I over heard a guy say, "Who were those crazy bastards going drink for drink with you guys?" The Aussie replied, "Fucking Midwesterners. I think they were putting salt in their beer because the more they drank, the thirstier they got. We had a hell of a time keeping up." The Aussie seemed fine (and was ready to go again by 4:00pm) I was trying to keep my head from exploding.


Ya, I am a proud Midwesterner.

The nights have been rather warm recently and are predicted to get even warmer; well it is the middle of summer here.
