So...many of you know that Joydyan is getting married.. Well, she's one of my all time fav-o-rite people on the planet...and today, I booked my flight to vegas to attend the ceremony.

I've never been there, but had good advice on where to stay. I didn't stay at the 'holy shit that's expensive" hotel that Miss Snootybritches had to stay in, but I did ok. It's TWO extra large refrigerator boxes, wooot!

Any ways... for those that have been there....what are the MUST DO things?

Other than her wedding, and Cirque Du Soleil "O" show at the Bellagio, I'm not sure what things are must do's.

A little help?

My in-laws live in Vegas and we go there several times a year.

That being said, I've seen pretty much everything there...hahaha. But, my advice is really just wander the strip and check out all the hotels. They are all interesting in their own way. If you want a good burger, the best one is at BLT in The Mirage!

Oh, and get your tickets early for Thunder From Down Under so you can get a good seat ;)

We stayed at the Rio both times we went. Found it more than reasonable but it's over the highway, not on the strip.
I wasn't the planner but Freemont Street was great & free.

That's all really good advice till you fucked up at the end!!!:)

Yeah, I wanna look around for sure... Ever do the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon?

I work with guys that have been there a few times...the one guy said the Rio was nice, but off the strip. He kept trying to get me to the hotels he'd boinked hookers in.. lol

Fremont Street is on the list too..thanks.

Sooooo glad you posted this! I'm potentially doing something very similar next year that'll involve Vegas, so I'll be watching to see what peeps have to say.

I've never been across the pond before.... :D

Oh I can help with this. I like the Rollercoaster at NY, NY.
I loved just wandering the strip people watching.
I had a stupid expensive dinner one night but it wasn't nearly as impressive as the burgers we stumbled upon at smashburger. :)
You should play at least one slot machine so you can say you did it (I'm not a gambler) and I really enjoyed the Cirque shows I've seen.

Oh cool... I love rollercoasters. I'm debating the top of the Stratosphere rides.. :)

There are casinos here in Detroit. We were working down the street from The MGM Grand.. so we went there for lunch. They reached up my ass and ripped the hundred bucks i took in, in about ten minutes. Second time was the same thing.

I haven't been back..lol

I've seen Quidam twice and it was incredible.. I've wanted to see the water show for years...did you see it?

I'm interested in this, as I'm doing Vegas next year for my 50th birthday...:D

I feel like I've said that exact same thing recently... ;)

Let me know if you and SL come together... I'm coming too.:kiss:

Madame Tussauds? Anyone?

only if you want to rub Nikki Minaj's derriere...

I like the Aria, cause its still pretty clean, feel like an exec...lol

There is the beattles show, and a couple of Guilty pleasures(Pop Singers) that i wont add, cause i will get hate mail lol

Caesars has some rooms with Glass block walls between the shower and the bed, not sure what thats about ... :)

Coaster on the Strat is just crazy...The Roller,(like the London Eye) is tall, but its behind the strip, more of a desert view, so bring a drink and hope your car has some interesting folk for the hour...

just enjoy the hustle and bustle...

The guys at work told me the same thing...how stuff looks soooo close, but isn't.

I'm staying at Harrahs because Joy is gonna be next door.. they said being in the heart of the action was best for a first timer..

Gary from work was just trying to tell me the best hotels for getting laid.. lol

And... Visit the chippendales hotties. Do know them on a name basis.

Red Rock Canyon. Good hikes!
Look at million dollar houses on sale.
Go to a flexibility class at Shine Alternative Fitness.
Caesars palace buffet is good.
Do they still have penguins there?
Penn & Teller
Terry Fator
Sometimes original artwork is on display. I saw a few Vincent Van Gogh works when I was there.
Star Trek Museum if a Trekkie.
There are some canyons you can hike through , but you have to walk through knee deep streams šŸ˜Ž
Zion National Park is a day trip.
