But such an ugly game... it actualy made England-Ecuador seem a work of art by contrast!

I missed both games. Work, as always, got in the way. Not sure who I would have cheered for in either game really, probally would have just sat back and enjoyed them, ofcourse to have watched them with a beautiful woman like you, well, I would have been caught up in the cheering.

I really appreciate the sport for just that reason. The games are almost always close. And you don't have like 50 points scored a game, that's rediculous. There's no need to inflate the numbers.

I had the opportunity to see the entire second half of Aussies - Italy. All I can say is the end of the game was a great example of how the referees have influenced the World Cup. The Italian takes a dive in the box with less than 30 seconds left, and it's all over. While the Cup has been exciting, one's left with the feeling that this is the sport in which the referees have the most influence over the outcome of the game. If there were more scoring, this wouldn't be so. But when so few goals are scored, the referees have too much influence.

Okay, enough of the rant. When do we get to see the lovely Lady Blue in -- and out of -- some of those cute soccer shorts?

But you missed the first half, when Italy went a man down for another dubious call. After yesterday's match between Portugal and Holland, I would hope FIFA would have a long talk with the officials. But I doubt that will happen... *sigh*.
