I've thought about getting my eyebrow pierced, and my nose.

Aw, don't do that darling! Especially not your nose!

Everytime I see someone with a stud in their nose I want to smother them with kleenex. I just can't convince my subconscious that it isn't a booger.

I had the prettiest girl in a class I taught, and then she had to go and get both eyeborws pierced with gold rings. They made her face look like the rear end of a Saab. I kept on waiting for her eyes to blink to signal a turn.

That's what I'm going to do: get a big, green, glistening tear-drop shaped piercing in my upper lip, right under my left nostril.

Um sorry, it's not Coral. (The only coral which comes close to this color os Fire Coral, and that isn't coming anywhere near my wifes belly. )

I know what you mean about the Kleenex. That's part of why I never have.
Plus, and this is going to sound conceited, but I like my face and I don't have/want any scars on it, lol.
Same reason I won't really ever get my eyebrow pierced.

I wanted my tongue pierced for a loonggg time.
I was 17, and had to have my gallbladder out. (They had to do it the old fashioned way.) Anyhow, on the way home from the hospital, there was a piercing place, and mom felt so bad for me she offered to stop and sign for me to get it done.
I considered it carefully, and decided not to. I've had braces and my front teeth are bonded. No way in hell was I going to risk jackin my teeth up, lol

Hmm... I have 2 tattoos, one from the animation scene in the movie Hedwig and the Angry Inch, although it isn't done yet because I plan to be adding a lot to it. I got that done last November so it's almost a year old. I also have the words "Don't Worry I'll Catch You" written around my wrist with a musical note. The words are from a song by The Get Up Kids and my best friend Darlene has the same one. I used to have my nipples pierced but they were retired because they kept getting infected. Now, I have both of my first holes in my ears at a 0 gauge, my tongue is at a 12 gauge and my ears a done a couple of more times.

The Hedwig picture is taken off of BMEzine.com because my camera decided not to work and I had submitted it to the site a while ago and so that's the only picture I have of it right now. The tongue picture is also a bit old -- took it the night after I got it done, again, almost a year ago.

Only scars, not as scarification, just the usual wear and tear. Have no plans for piercings or tattoos. Not my bag, baby. I am getting tired of the lower back tats...the tramp stamp. Everyone's doing it. Feh! You kids...

Not that such aren't sexy. I knew a girl when I was in H.S., always thought she was beautiful, but somehow was enhanced by her purple streaked hair, and the little golden ring she had in her right nostril. I did wonder about the cleanliness aspect of it though.

Don't go overboard though. Settle down with that stuff. Or go whole hog, and become a lizard person or something.

They were taken right after they were done so they weren't healed. However, the guy did fuck up on the Hedwig one and so now I get free touchups and I'm adding to it.

Like Ogg and others, I have an apendicitis scar and a few minor ones from accidents. Apart from that my skin is bare and will probably stay that way. I don't mind what others want to do to themselves. That's their business. But I will never permanently mark myself, or anyone else, on purpose.

I have seen a few tattoos in art books that I considered pretty. But I wonder what that person will look like in 40 years, with saggy, wrinkled and discoloured skin. And that is nothing compared to the stupidity of tattooing someone's name or club, or anything transient on your skin. You'll be looking at that the rest of your life. Just think of yourself 10 years ago and the kind of things you thought were cool back then. Do you still think they are cool now?

Piercings are somewhat different, in that they can usually be removed and healed in time. But I still think the act of piercing is little more than (self) mutilation. I have never seen any piercing that interested me on an erotic or artistic level. A girl with a stub in her tongue or lip turns me off just as much as smoking does. If she would do that to herself, what else would she do? Just how low is her self esteem?

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, or that people can't enjoy it. I'm just saying I have no stomach for it.

I have to say, you're absolutely adorable! I could just eat you all up. Not only do you have a great face and body stock, I think you picked some very selective piercings that accentuate your beauty, and not detract. I love the tounge piercing, for obvious reasons. I was impressed by the 0 gauge plug. Very nice. I like the wrist tat. It has a mysterious romantic feel to it. Thanks for sharing the pics.

In addition to piercings (3 right earlobe, 2 left; and nipple), I have scars from 3 c-sections, stretch marks on my tummy from carrying 3 BIG babies, plus various little scratches & dents from sports injuries & chicken pox & self mutilation (aka shaving). No tats, though.

I've seriously considered an eyebrow piercing, but right now the urge is not very strong. (That's subject to change with the weather.)

I agree with the eyebrow piercing. If I didn't have to work in a pharmacy I'd have one by now. I have my own set of scars. Nothing major. Some from self-mutilation, scratching. I couldn't do cutting. If I did I wouldn't be here now. I knew that of myself. For a long time the edge of a sharp blade was entirely too enticing. There's only one tat that I want now. I've been trying to get an idea of how much I would have to save. From a general consensus, about 180 or so.


Og, thank you once more for sharing your stories. I, as well as others I'm sure, appreciate the tales the life imprints on us. Skin cancer is nothing to mess with. Often times I take what I have for granted. Thanks for keeping me in perspective.

Cat, sounds like a Leathal Weapon movie you went through. Your list reminded me of the third LW movie. Mel and his actress counterpart are comparing scars. It's a good thing that you're okay now. Sounds like you went through some tough shit. Your marks as well as Og's tell a story more compelling that a tattoo in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

I have my ear lobes stretched to nearly 1/2", with 2ga 2nd holes. Labret, either side of my bottom lip, and middle of my top lip. A 6ga septum piercing, but I don't wear much in it anymore because it tends to obscure the top lip piercing. I also have my nipples pierced vertically. At various points in time I've had my cheeks, both eyebrows, bridge, nostril, and labia piercings.

Where the fuck is the drooling smiley?!!! That'll have to do. Oh, and, um...if you and ari get together, can I watch? Please? *bats eyes*

Boxlicker, of course your scars count! Everyone's does. No two people have the same scars. No two people share the same story. Like it or not, your scars help make who you are. When someone gets a tat or piercing, all they are really doing is purposefully scaring themesleves. Yours comes from life. Life can be a real bitch. I appreciate your sharing. Thank you.

That's how I feel most of the time. With me a woman can be very attractive, or young woman. Yet, when I see purple hair, with a few select piercings, I think, Hmm...this girl likes to have some fun. I get even more attracted.

(I had planned on the Huricane design, and may still get it but,,,,,,) I picked up a great little, okay 4 inch, Black Panther holding onto my right Bicep. Didn't hurt, it felt more like a mild electrical current than anything else. Had a great artist do it, one highly recomended in the area. (He's only been doing it for 30 years.)
