I've just finished reading `The Waves` and I feel like shouting to the world that Virginia Woolf is one of the greatest writers ever! Read `The Waves` and you will be reading a poetic and truly beautiful book! Now I start on `To the Lighthouse`!

Man Ray, I find people either love or hate her writing style--kinda like they feel about James Joyce. I see her as poetic, inspirational because few novelists can carry plot, but express it with such visual imagery and allegory. There is a section at the beginning of Orlando (that I don't have on this puter or I'd reprint it) that I think may be the best writing I've ever read--it's only a few paragraphs, but it's powerful beauty. And talk about plot--that book weaves all over history.
