She was grateful that she had been a smaller woman at this point in her life it made hiding easier for her, and that was what she needed at this moment, she knew if they found her she was dead, but if they didn't she might as well be dead also. She knew she had to keep her fears under control if she was to survive this. She was smart and resilient but then again what she had just done had been very very stupid, but she thought making an escape would be better than the alternative. Just survive was the only thoughts that were going through her moment at the time, the ditch was deep thankfully and she was hiding just as far as she could go, her breathing was shallow as she kept her hand tightly over her mouth and closed her eyes she was tired so very tired.

No she screamed in her head she mustn't fall asleep, she knew the consequences that could bring, and she didn't want that alternative either. In any case, no matter what she did she was simply put screwed so she stayed put and listened very carefully when she knew the criminals were heading elsewhere she would make a run for it. She felt tears roll down her cheeks, Rose had always been a strong girl, but she knew what was coming, she was going to be beaten within an inch of her life, then taken to god knew where, and have god knows what happen to her, she had to be smarter right now and not let her emotions get the best of her.

Keep it together Rose just a little bit longer you can get through this, you have to get through this to make sure Danny is okay all that mattered to her was that Danny was okay she didn't even care what happened to her. Once she knew he was okay she didn't care what happened to her. Please just let him be okay she prayed. Her heart was pounding she thought they would hear it so she tried calming down. I have to survive she thought angrily. I won't let them win. She was in survival mode, and she would fight to the death, that's where all this ended in she was sure. Just close your eyes and imagine you're with Danny forget all else she thought. She heard voices again and kept her hand tightly around her mouth.

"Where the fuck could she have gotten to." One of the men asked, Ray, spoke and said she couldn't have gotten far. How right they were she thought to herself. Try and relax Rose don't make a sound. I can do this. She had never been more scared in her life. She didn't want to die but id dying meant Danny living she was willing to do so. Rose hadn't hard the sudden commotion before she knew it everything suddenly went black.

They slowed the military choper as they closed within a half mile of the area they had the van located. They were surprised that they were still there. This could be bad, God only knows what they might do to her. The one thing that gave Danny hope was that they were pretty sure Markova was not with them. They had spoken with Markova, and unless he had left immediately he was at best in transit to meet him. That was doubtful, so they were stopped for some other reason, but what could it be?

As they panned wide, they looked down through their telescopic goggles. The three men were huddled and talking. They could not see Rose, but as the men dispersed, it was clear they were looking for something. Could she have escaped? If so, it bought them time and a bit of separation in extracting her. However, it also increased the urgency. If they found her, punishment would be doled out, the only question was how much and what type. Danny doubted they would kill her, Markova clearly wanted her, but in what condition would be acceptable? He was a masochist.

They abandoned their prior plan, it would take to long to park the helicopter at the parking lot a mile from here, climb into a car and get here. They needed to move now, so the landed int the forest preserve, behind a set o f trees, less that half mile from where Rose was hiding.

They were ready as they hit the ground, scrambling out of the helicopter the took off on a dead run, they were now less than 50 yards away, when they heard one of the men, "There she is in the ditch". They were out of time, they couldn't let them grab Rose. One of the special services men, the expert in chemical weapons dropped to a knee. He loaded the cannister and fired. The men were stil 25 yards from Rose when it hit, then a second immediately following...tear gas filled the air and the men crumpled to the ground grabbing their faces...Danny and his men in full gas masks quickly closed and had the men tied up with nary a struggle..a gas mask in hand, Danny walked toward the ditch and saw his love with her face tightly held in her hands.

"Rose, it is Danny, you are safe...we have everything under control...please put on this mask while I help you out of there".

It was so loud she thought to herself or maybe that was just her imagination, she didn't want to make a sound they were close and she knew they knew she probably wouldn't get far, she was naked, hurt, scared and that would make her slow they figured. She wanted to be brave but she was starting to lose hope. Danny was gone, she didn't know what had happened to him, the only thing that gave her solace was knowing that her best friend would make sure her mother was okay. She knew jumping out that window wasn't the smartest move but what other option did she have considering the fact no one was going to rescue her or save her but herself. Her heart was racing as she held her hand so tightly over her mouth, just survive Rose she thought to herself that is all you really can do.

She knew she had to fight no one was going to fight for her. Think Rose think she thought to herself, she had to run when the coast was clear she still had the shower curtain wrapped as tightly around her as she could and she was shivering. She could feel her heart beating, could feel her chest tightening. She closed her eyes, she was so tired so weak, and she just wanted to go home, she knew she needed a hospital but there was no way of finding one, she had to survive this before she could do anything else. Breath Rose breath or you're going to die before you get out of here or before they find you. Just relax she thought well as best as you can anyway. She could do this she was strong was she not. She knew if they found her there would be hell to pay, she also knew after she paid that hell she was just going to another place of hell.

She sighed to herself and took a long deep breath in order to try and get it together so she could fight. She had to fight it was her only way out. She had to get back to Danny, to her mother, her best friend, her life. She knew her life was with those few people she loved and she didn't want to let any of them down even if that meant she would have to die just to save them. She heard one of the men say where she was and fear struck her as she tried to climb out and run but her ankle was hurting and she felt like she was stuck. Fuck, fuck she nearly screamed as she tried to get out. Don't fret Rose don't fret you can do this, survive this you're smarter than them. She still heard so much noise and didn't understand what was happening, please god don't let them get me. She was still squirming as she tried to get out of the ditch, still holding her mouth tightly as not to scream.

She did scream when she felt someone near her holding her head up as she screamed and started to claw she didn't realize that it was Danny coming to save her.

Danny tried to reach for Rose and all he heard was her scream....and then nothing. She had fainted, passed out or something. He started to pull her up and then he saw the huge bump on her head. "Guys, call the paramedics...she is passed out, potentially concussed and I don't want to move her or take a chance on hurting her...quick, we need medics, STAT".

I am screaming and terrified. I hope to god it isn't too late. I slide down the embankment and put the mask over her mouth. I try not to hurt her, but I figure the mask is a good idea. The air is rancid with the tear gas, and I look up to see my men handcuffing the captors, they can handle that, I don't care what techniques they use to question these pigs, and for the first time in my life, I do not care how ruthless they are to get the information we need.

Withing five minutes I hear sirens wailing and soon both an ambulance and fire truck are on site and they are carefully pulling Rose out. An IV is put in her arm, and I ride with her as she is taken to the University Medical Center. It is top notch and as she is wheeled in, I am left to wait and pray. I remember Jamie and find a spot where I can use my phone, "Jamie, it is Danny, Rose has had an accident...I hope she will be okay...yeah, one of the bidders tried to kidnap her...we saved her...but they had already hit her and she is still out cold....yes, I think you should come but let's not tell her mother...not until we know she is okay".

We hung up and I wait, it is almost two hours. Jamie sits beside me as we see the doctor come out..."I have done everything I could...she is concussed, out cold...now all we can do is wait...I wish I could tell you more". I look at Jamie and she throws her arms around me...and sees the tears in the eyes of a man who does not cry. "Danny, did something happen between you and Rose you want to tell me about?"

She didn't really who was grabbing for her she screamed and then everything went dark and black, was she dead? She had finally given up she had no fight left in her, her only solace was knowing her mother would be taken care of and that hopefully, Danny was alive and that if he was Jamie would take care of him and her mother. She had been in so much pain and the darkness was a welcoming friend to her. She thought she heard voices but she just couldn't make anything out, it was so far away, everything was so far away. Her heart was still beating her subconscious screamed so she must still be alive. As long as she had a heartbeat that meant something right, god please please don't let me die, I need to make sure Danny, Jamie, and my mother are okay if it is my time please god make sure they are safe and loved.

I feel someone touching me and they are not trying to hurt me it feels almost as if I am being saved, this feels so strange like I am having an out of body experience. Sleep I am so tired so I let the sleep take over my body but I still feel so lost like I am going and won't come back. She is finally at peace, she had nothing to worry about at least her friends and her mom would be safe she just hoped that Danny would know that she had loved him for a very long time, and it might have taken this auction to make them admit their feelings at least something good came of the whole thing. I feel someone tugging on me pulling my body from my entrapment are the bad men back? Her head is ringing and she feels like a fog has lifted her and she is lost to the world.

I just want them all to know I love them so much, they have to know at least my mother will know if I die, it wouldn't be in vain, I died for a cause to protect her. She is in a deep sleep and she wants to get back home, but her mind has her trapped maybe, it was better this way she had put everyone she loved in danger and now she had to pay the price for that. I feel like I am in and out where is everyone Is this purgatory she wonders. She wants to wake up but she cant maybe if someone were there to tell her to get her ass up would she was she really stuck between heaven and earth is that what this was she knew people were around but she couldn't really touch them. Come on Rose wake up she tries to will herself. Was she gone? Too far gone? She didn't want to be please god please let me wake up.

He puts his arm around Jamie and the follow the Doctor back to see Rose. It is a little frightening seeing all the monitors and wires attached, and the ventilator helping her breathe nice clean oxygen. Danny walks over to Rose and brushes the hair from her face, "I know you are in their baby, please come back to me". He kisses her again, and then turns to face a wide eyed Jamie.

"Baby...come back to me...Danny, what in the hell happened yesterday after I left". Danny takes her by the hand and they sit down on the empty bed across from Rose, "Well, actually quite a lot..." He proceeds to tell Jamie exactly what happened after she left. "We finally told each other and showed each other how we felt...I am in love with her Jamie, and I think I have been for a while...well I always loved her...but when we saw each other...and I thought of someone else having her...I realized I was truly in love with her...does that make sense?"

Jamie got up and walked around the room. Now it was her who felt the room spinning...her Danny...her Rose...together...in love. She was happy, sad, smiling and sad all at once. In an instant she felt like the biggest third wheel ever to the to most important people in her life. Yet, she loved them both more than anything...and if they were together...she should be so happy...and she was...and she wasn't. "God Danny, I am happy for you ....I guess...I mean...I love you both so much...but this is so fast...I'm sorry, but ....WOW". She didn't talk anymore, she just walked over to Danny and gave him a big hug. Even that felt a bit bitter sweet, she felt she had lost something...she didn't know exactly what or why ...god this was confusing.

Suddenly Jamie felt so guilty...this was about Rose and Danny not her...and her best friend in the world was lying there and she wasn't coming back near quickly enough. She went over to her bed and kissed her on the cheek, "Rose, Honey, it is Jamie...I am here with Danny...come back to us Rose...we need you...we love you...come back sweetie...please come ba.aa..ack". Her voice cracking she could no longer hold back the tears...she was scared and very emotional...what exactly her emotions were, she wasn't entirely sure...

I hear shuffling so much noise, but I cannot make out where it is all coming from, my head is foggy and I feel like I'll never wake up am I in heaven is this hell? I want to wake up and see them, is that the doctor, why can't they help me why can't they help wake me up? She could hear voices but could not place them, who they were or where they were coming from, where am I she thought in her fogged state mind. She wanted to wake up and get back to her love, oh Danny please be alive and if you are safe please take care of my mother, she will be devastated to learn of the auction and losing me. The voices seemed louder and louder by the minute yet she still could not seem to make them out.

Whos there she wanted to ask why can't no one hear me why can't I wake up please I want to wake up I need to make sure they are okay I need to know Danny is okay. She wanted to see Danny that was her only wish and yet she felt at peace where she was, safe as if no harm could come to her here is that why she couldn't wake up she knew if she did the men would get her and do horrible things to her she knew escape would make them even angrier and she would not get away a second time, had she escaped on her own or had someone saved her she didn't know, she wanted to get back that's all she knew.

Please god let me go home, I need to go home let me wake and make sure my Danny is okay then you can take me if that's what's meant to be, but god let me see him one more time. She could feel her heart beating still then why couldn't she wake up, she then saw a vision in her head, her father telling her it was not her time to go home child, could this be real was any of this real? "Daddy.'' She whispered in her dream state mind. "Yes, my darling it's me I need you to go home, your mother needs you, your friends need you." He whispered. "Daddy I miss you, can't I stay?" She asked softly. "Oh darling I miss you and your mother so much but I need you to go back, they need you, go home I love you." He said and I could feel myself leaving going as if I were floating.

Oh, daddy, I love you too she thought as she fought to go home as he had asked of her. Please let me wake up I must fight she told herself, I have to get back. I hear them the people they are getting closer. She could not make out the voice yet but it was becoming a bit clearer now. Come on Rose you are stronger then this you can do this. Jamie yes that was Jamie she could hear her, she could feel her hand on her own. Jamie don't go oh please don't go im here, with that she felt her eyes slowly open, as she gently weakly squeezed her friend's hand.... but she whispered Danny's name.

Jamie was holding Rose's hand, trying to will her friend back to them. Her world was spinning, and she honestly didn't know how she felt about the fact that Danny and Rose were in love. It was hard, they were everything to her, and suddenly she felt like the odd man out. She shook her head, that was silly, she loved Rose, as much or more than a sister, and she wanted the best for her. More than anything she wanted Rose to be okay, and she was scared. "Did you hear that Danny, I think she just said something, Daddy?"

If she was coming back, Danny wanted to be the first thing she saw. He took her hand from Jamie and leaned in over her, he kissed her cheek. "Rose, I can tell you are trying to come back...Rose, it's Danny. I am here for you Rose...I am in love with you...please come back to me...please, please come back." He squeezed her hand again, and leaned down to kiss her one more time. It was barely audible, barely a whisper, but he heard her, he was positive he heard her. "Danny" came the whisper, and then her eyes opened.

His heart nearly jumped out of his chest, "Yes, yes Rose it's Danny...I'm right here...I found you...you're safe...Rose....Rose....yes, I am here....come back to me Rose...come back to your Danny" His eyes were full of tears, the lump so big he could barely swallow....but here eyes were open....she was back...all he could hope was that she had not sustained any permanent injuries.

Almost I can slowly feel myself going back... "Yes, Rose you need to go home." She could hear her father's voice ringing in her head. So much had happened so much she couldn't change did she want to go home yes she needed to go home there were people there that needed her. Come on Rose she willed herself telling herself that she could and would do this if only to make sure her family was okay. She could feel someone's hand against her own could now make out the voices was that Jaime yes it had to be. She could feel the blood pumping back into her veins as her body started to come alive once more.

She looked at her father once more and whispered Daddy as if asking him if it was really okay, he blew her a kiss and told her to look after her mother and for once to take care of herself, she woke once whispering daddy. It felt hard to speak and hard to wake up at first but slowly and surely she started to come around little by little. She felt a stronger hand against hers now and then felt a kiss upon her cheek and then her eyes fluttered open softly as if she had awakened from a deep sleep and surely that's what all this was maybe all of this had just been some bad dream.

She heard his voice and heard him clear as day say that is was Danny. Yes oh, thank god he was alive that was all that had mattered to her and here he was with her willing her back to life, but it was the push of her father and Jaimes voice that had really bought her back. She heard every word that he had to say to her but she would never ever get tired of him saying that he had loved her and this time she knew it was much more than brotherly love it was deeper and it was real. She felt him squeeze her hand and she smiled up at him well as much as she could without it hurting her face from where she had been punched.

Finally, when she realized this was real and he was real she whispered his name as if more so questioning that he was there. She looked at him softly and as happy as she was to see him, she had to admit to herself that it was Jaime that had brought her back. Her heart broke how scared they all must have been when she had been taken not knowing what might happen to her or if she was even still alive but Danny must have found a way to know she was alive. "I... I'm so happy you're alive I thought they killed you I fought to get back to you to make sure you were okay I shouldn't have fought them but I needed to know you were safe, I couldn't leave Jaime without her brother and my mother without people who would see after her." She said in a breathless rush.

"Jamie wheres Jaime?" She questioned and tried to raise her head to find her, but Danny told her to lay back down that he was going to get the doctor.

She went from groggy to somewhere between startled and happy, "I... I'm so happy you're alive I thought they killed you I fought to get back to you to make sure you were okay I shouldn't have fought them but I needed to know you were safe, I couldn't leave Jaime without her brother and my mother without people who would see after her....Jamie where's Jaime?"

Danny just wanted to enjoy the moment for a minute. She was back, there was plenty of time to explain what happened...the Doctor needed to know and should see her and make sure she was okay and how they should proceed. He leaned down and kissed her cheek, and then gently kissed her dry, chapped lips. They felt incredible...he had wondered if he would ever get to kiss them again...and now...he wouldn't let more than a few minutes ever go by again while with her without stealing a precious kiss.

He wanted her to relax, settle down so he whispered. "She is here and will come over...but you are fine...I will tell you everything you missed...but first, the Doctor needs to see you...make sure you don't need anything". With that he kissed her one more time, just a peck, and got up to go into the hall and find the Doctor, or at least a nurse that could help him.

As Danny walked out, Jamie walked over. "I was so scared Rose...so scared I had, we had, your mother had...that we had all lost you...I love you...you know that, right?...don't ever scare me like that again". Now it was Jamie's turn to reach down...she didn't want to hurt her, she was careful, but she so needed to hug her very best friend in the world. They could discuss what had gone on with Danny when she was better, stronger...but for right now, she desperately needed that hug...

It all came out in a complete rush and that wasn't what she wanted but she had so much to say to Danny and so much to tell him and to tell Jaime and she had so much to amend for not only had she risked her own life with this auction but she had also put everyone that she loved in danger as well even if none of that was her intention it still happened and it was all her fault Danny could have died because of her stupidity. She looked up at him with her big eyes in a panic had Jaime left was Jaime mad at her did she hate her because of all of this and if she did she wouldn't have blamed her. She was looking around the room and you could see how frightened she was that Jaime wasn't there.

She smiled tenderly up at him when he kissed her cheek gently and then sighed against the gentle kiss he placed upon her lips she hadn't realized how scared she had been that something had happened to him but here he was with her and safe. She could tell sense, it rather that he had been just as scared as she had been thinking that she was going to die not knowing if she was okay her heart started to race Danny had risked everything to save her she didn't know how really, she didn't remember too much but she knew he would explain everything to her in time. She once more looked up at him as he calmly whispered to her.

She tried to calm down at his words and she did a bit hearing that Jaime was there and that she would come over. She smiled into his little peck and nodded her head as he told her he was going to get the doctor and with that, she slowly started to calm down. She looked up and smiled brightly as Jaime walked over. Hearing Jaimes words soothed her she didn't seem angry with her at all and yet she felt Jaime should be especially now that she and Danny were an item. Rose leaned into Jaimes hug and took in her familiar scent. "I-I thought you would hate me, Jaime I am so sorry for everything I love you so much you need to know your voice you-you brought me back." She whispered taking her hand into her own.

Jaimie leaned down over her best friend and there were already tears in her eyes, all she had experienced over the last 24 hours was feelings of terror over what might be happening to Rose, first the auction, and then the kidnapping. "I-I thought you would hate me, Jaime I am so sorry for everything I love you so much you need to know your voice you-you brought me back." She tried to hold back, continue to be strong, but she just couldn't. Tears flowed, and she sobbed. "I--I'm glad you heard me...but I am so mad at you...don't you ever do this to me again...I have two people I love in this world...you and Danny and I almost lost b-b-both of you...Damn it Rose you have family...us...and we love you...don't you ever just go on your own again....trust us...the three of us...we are family...and you have to trust your family when you feel desparate and in trouble!"

She caught herself, it was an emotional release she had held back and just had to let go! She reached her arms down and pulled Rose up into a hug that damned near strangled her...when she realized what she was doing she chuckled and smiled..."that is if I don't hug you so hard that I strangle you to death". Tears turned to laughter as she looked down, so happy that they were all together and everyone appeared safe.

Now a wicked little smile crossed her face, "we have things to discuss though, don't we girl...you not only seem to have nabbed my handsome brother...but wound him around your little finger. Not now, but I want to hear all about it...he is after all the greatest guy in the world...and I have to say, I am a bit jealous...even though I am his sister...and you are sort of his sister...and you know...it just doesn't see fair", she winked teasing, feeling bad she had yelled at her, but looking forward to them all getting out of here.

Danny walked back in, "the Doctor should be here in a minute...he said though he was just worried about her being a bit slow getting back...now that she is, he feels a lot better". Danny walked over and sat on the other side of the bed from Rose. "We all do..." and he smiled and leaned down and kissed her, but this time it was slow and lingering...he had his girl back...both of them

She knew how Jaime must feel it was probably the same way she had felt not knowing if Danny had been okay or if he was even alive hadn't Rose done the exact same thing to her and Danny god she hated herself right now and she wondered if Jaime would hate her even more for falling in love with her big brother. She took a deep breath as she explained as much as she could to Jaime at least about her own feelings about Jaime hating her and how sorry she had been to put her and Danny through all of this no amount of apologies would ever be enough Rose thought to herself. Rose was usually so strong but at the moment she didn't feel very strong she felt the complete opposite of strong. She couldn't stand to see her best friend cry it broke her heart.

She felt horrible that she had worried Jaime so much and Rose deserved Jaimes anger she more than deserved just her anger she would have completely understood if Jaime hated her cause at this moment in time she hated herself for the auction for almost causing Danny his life for hurting Jaime for possibly causing her mother any pain and for not being smarter in general. She blushed a little at the mention of Danny and the fact that she indeed had him wrapped around her finger though she felt at the moment Danny deserved much better then her because she knew they weren't out of the woods yet and as much as she had loved him and wanted nothing more than to be with him she needed to keep him safe and being with her was not going to keep him safe but now wasn't the time or the place to tell him that.

Rose felt slightly awkward talking about Danny with Jaime after all that had transpired between her and Danny but in the same aspect Jaime was her best friend and she did need someone to talk to about her and Danny and how she felt that he deserved better and that she needed to stay away from him. She smiled brightly as Danny walked back into the room but also felt very sad at what she would eventually have to do but she would do anything to keep him safe and to protect there family I mean what if the guy that was after her then went after her family next she wouldn't be able to live with herself if anything happened to any of them.

She looked up at him gently when he sat on the edge of her bed opposite his sister. She smiled softly hiding the pain in her heart of what she knew she would have to do. She, however, leaned into his kiss and let it linger for a minute then remembered that Jaime was in the room and quickly pulled away not wanting her to feel awkward.

Jaime hugged Rose, something fierce and felt the connection, but she was thinking something or holding back and with Rose that could be dangerous. As Danny sat down, Jaime give him a look. Something was wrong...she was happy...and sad. Danny looked down and kissed her, not over the top, but way more than friendly. He sensed the same thing.

"Rose, I am not sure what you are thinking, but stop, you going rogue alone is part of the reason you are here. You have to decide if you trust us and are willing to let us in and work with us as someone you love, as family, or you don't. When we leave here, you are coming to my place. I have top security, and you are safe. I have people working on figuring out exactly who came after you, and determining if you are in danger, which I believe you are. But we were lucky, I found you once, we might not be so lucky the next time. Do not be some sort of hero...I love you...and you either love me and trust me to work through things with you...or you don't"

He leaned down, kissed her and held her hand. Part of a relationship was trusting each other and trusting in each other. He loved Rose, but she had to believe in him, trust him...he felt he had earned it...and he could help protect her. Now he would find out if she could trust him...and be he partner and his lover.

The Doctor came in just then, breaking up the discussion, and Jaime and Danny stepped aside. He shined a light in her eyes and did some basic concussion tests. He checked her other vitals and tapped her on the leg when he finished. "You are much better, actually shockingly good. You were concussed, and we will keep the lights dim. We will keep you tonight for observation, but tomorrow you go home. No TV or bright lights for two days, and then come back and we will test you, but you should be fine. Lots of water.....Rose, you were lucky...very lucky".

She didn't want to feel the way she was feeling but at the same time she knew it would be for the best considering she had almost cost Danny his life and knowing she was the reason for that had nearly killed her and she didn't want him or Jaime to ever go through something like that again. She noticed the look between brother and sister and realized they already more and likely knew what had been spinning around in her head. Fuck she thought it was nice to have people that knew you so well yet at the same time it made it harder to keep how she was feeling or what she was thinking to herself. She sighed to herself especially at the way Danny was now looking at her it was rather unnerving.

The first part of his statement slightly pissed her off she hadn't gone Rogue she had been fucking kidnapped and her trying to escape was so as not to be killed and to get back to him. She didn't say anything but continued to let him say what he needed and wanted to say. He knew damn well she loved them and this wasn't anything to do with trust this was about making sure the people she loved the most in the world were protected and safe. She didn't mind the thought of going back to his place but it was plain and simple them being together was dangerous look what happened the first time they decided to make love. She wasn't worried about her safety she was worried about his. She knew she was in danger but if she was in danger so were the people that she was closest to didn't he understand that.

There wouldn't be the next time if she left town she thought to herself. He knew damn well how much she loved him she took a deep breath trying to gain her composure because some of what he said made sense and then some of what he said pissed her off. She however slightly leaned into his kiss and squeezed his hand. She trusted him more than he ever knew and she would forever be grateful for saving her life but she hadn't been trying to be some sort of hero either. She was ready to say something but for some reason, the things she wanted to say to him she didn't feel was right to say in front of Jaime because she was angry and didn't want to put her in the middle of it. She had never been more happy to see her doctor in all of her life.

She followed the instructions the doctor was giving her for the test. She smiled kindly when he tapped her on the leg and she thanked him. She was happy when he told her she had been lucky no shit she thought to herself thinking if he only knew. He left the room and once again she was left with Danny and Jaime and all she wanted to say but at the moment couldn't.

Danny could tell she was a bit angry, but so was he, she had tried to do it all on her own. He hoped she realized that she was his life, he would never rest in trying to find her should she go away for some reason, any reason.

The Doctor was good, and the prognosis was even better, just a bit of recuperation, removing stimulus, letting her brain heal. Danny had been a football star, and with that came concussions, the things he saw now on the news scared the hell out of him. If he and Rose ever had a son, he caught himself laughing...he already had some serious plans. Anyway, he knew the drill and he looked forward to pampering her back to life. Perhaps a sensual massage, and holding her as she slept.

She kissed him, but she was thinking, and he guessed she was holding something back. "Jaime, could you go get Rose some ice chips and fresh water?" he asked his sister and she was more than happy to do something, anything that made her feel useful. As she walked out, he turned back to Rose, looking her in the eyes...hoping she realized how much he loved her..."it feels like you are holding something back...so what is it Rose....what's wrong?"
