She touched a nerve. That made her give a faint smile to herself.

But that smile was quickly lost when he turned suddenly and grabbed her, twisting her wrist painfully, but to her credit, she didn't wince or cry out. Instead she watched him grabbed his gun and then he released her.

"Sounds like a happy work environment to be employed in." She said, her eyes darting around, continuing to keep her surroundings in check.

"You know, you're not doing yourself any good by helping me...or perhaps you're leading me into an ambush..." She couldn't be sure what his intentions were but she would follow him...for now.

“Yeah because the best way to get inside of your pants again is to lead you into an ambush” He said rolling his eyes and opening the service elevator “look trust me or not but I have no intention of leading you into a trap or any reason to you’re not wanted by the police as far as I know and even though you killed that guy I could really care less about that” He remarked stepping into the elevator.

“We could go our separate ways if you wish” Mathais said raising an eyebrow “You don’t technically need a hostage though if you do decide to take me hostage I’m kind of hoping it’s an all nighter thing” He said feeling bold. After all he wasn’t on to beat around the bush and he had a feeling she wasn’t either so why not be honest about his intentions? He raised an eyebrow waiting for her response.

Rylen ignored the all-nighter comment and laughed. "So, why were you on protection duty, detective? Were you naughty at work?" The elevator stopped on their floor and this time, she followed him.

Stopping in the dark alley way, Rylen grabbed Mathias' arm and looked up at him, "OK, listen, we do the rest my way. From here, we go to my temporary place and let things cool down. From there, you can decide what you want to do... but try anything... do anything stupid, I won't hesitate to kill you. Got it."

“Because im the only one competent on the police force” Mathais said shrugging and following her out “I had the best chance of actually protecting the guy and look how well that turned out” he said said shaking his head and listening out for the distant whine of sirens. He knew the rest of the force would be out here any second which meant they had precious time to get away.

“Okay” He said nodding at her words “Let’s do it your way then” He said clearing his throat and pocketing his gun letting her lead the way to wherever they were going.
