Jon smiled into Diva'ss' lower lips and kept up the pace, occasionally using his free hand to lightly stroke her hip or her head, anywhere really, but he was soft and tender each time. His wandering free hand found her breasts and started gently playing with the nipples, his humming adopting the tune of a shanty he learned a while back about sailors who had to leave their lovers behind.

As Jon's sucked on Diva'ss clit and played with her breast, Diva'ss body suddenly started to feel an attack of pure pleasure. Her whole body shook and her head went light. Her privates squirted. A small stream went onto Jon's hand and neck. She started breathing deeply. He had just made her cum hard. She panted, feeling dizzy, but still wanting more.

"Please, keep going. Put your dick in me now, I beg of you. I'm, w, w, wet enough," Diva'ss said. Honestly she wasn't sure she could keep taking this intensity of pleasure, but she wanted Jon to take her as far as she could go.

Jon smiled at the Verdan on the bed before him. "Wow. Been a while since I did that to a woman." He rose to his knees and teased her with the head of his cock. "You on any sort of...protective potion? I dunno if I'll be able to pull out in time, cause, well, you're just so fucking amazing to me." He kept teasing her as he waited for her response.

Jon was all to dedicated to ensuring that Diva'ss was fully prepared for anything. She had wanted to be wanted, and he was being very dedicated to waiting on her at every chance.

Erathis church had strict rules for child bearing. If one did become pregnant it was up to the church to decide weather or not the child could be kept. The lone being that was pregnant didn't have the say, her community did. The many went before the one. If Erathis and her church decided for Diva'ss to have a child she would, if they decided she would not, she wouldn't. But in this case there really wasn't a chance. Humans were to greatly different from Verdan for them to have children with her. It wasn't like she was sleeping with an orc that could have a child with anything.

"You worry far to much. Do I look like a human to you that could bear a human child?" Diva'ss asked, still a bit short on breath.

She didn't want to be teased, her sex wanted to be filled. She looked at him longingly.

"Just checking, darling," he said, and without any further preamble he gently eased his throbbing member into her wet, warm pussy. "Oh Gods," he moaned, "you're still so tight!" He bottomed out, and lingered for just a second before pulling ever-so-slowly back out, then pushing back in, still at a leisurely pace as he gave her the chance to get used to him. Nobody had ever had cause to call Jon Sunspear "pencil dick", after all.

Jon was taking his time, slowly pulling his cock out of Diva'ss just to slide it back in. She saw his member as it went into her and her body throbbed a bit. The pleasure was building in her again, but she wanted so much more. Her body, her sex, demanded it. Despite her concerns about Jon's size, her need to cum again had become to much to handle.

"Ravage me, please, ravage me until you can hardly breath. Make my body scream for mercy and then refuse to give it. Make my mind spin and have your way with me till I can't stand it anymore. Ravage me!" Diva'ss demanded.

She grabbed onto Jon's ass and pulled him into her, taking in his manhood fully.

"Ugh! If you insist! But I will give that sweet body of yours mercy if needed. I am--" he slammed into her "--a paladin--" slam "--after all!" He increased his pace suddenly and rapidly, the wet, lewd sounds of their bodies slapping together echoing in the small space, mingled with their moans and screams of pleasure.

Jon started thrusting into Diva'ss, giving her body what it now demanded. As he pounded into her, thrusting into her deeply, her sex and her mind exploded. She kissed his lips deeply as her senses fogged over and her form shuttered. She came once more.

She breathed heavily, Jon having satisfied her again. She was now tired, but wonderfully so. She let her eyes slide closed for a moment, thinking it would be nice to fall asleep in this embrace, but a human would find that rude.

As such she instead gave Jon one last kiss on the cheek.

"You are skilled and loving. I could not have shared my bed with better tonight," Diva'ss said, smiling, Jon's cock still deep inside of her.

Another pang of concern hit Diva'ss, this man was to loving and Diva'ss still didn't think she could love him. Maybe him flirting with the halfling could be a good thing. If he fell for her, or someone else, Diva'ss would not have to break a heart. but, she did not want to worry about such things, she had been well satisfied and she now wanted for rest.

As Diva'ss came hard around Jon's cock, his own orgasm burst forth in response, thick ropes of his seed pumping into the Verdan's warm pussy. It took a minute, but once he came down off of his high, he said, "I couldn't have been more fortunate, myself." He lifted her up off the bed, still inside her, and lay them both down flat, allowing them both to bask in the feeling of him filling her so completely for a little longer. "You know, perhaps it might not be so bad to just keep on going the way we are? I realize that some religions are rather demanding of their followers, or perhaps demanding isn't the right word? Either way, what we just did here? Don't want it to end. I doubt the halfling could compare, either, just between the two of us." He winked at her, and kissed and nuzzled her neck, waiting for her to respond.

Priscilla enjoyed the food and drinks provided. Seeing several of this motley crew leave she focused on the room and the various patrons. As the two remaining talked she seemed to begin to nose about the room. In doing she could tell who had money and who didn't.

Taking advantage of it all she picked her targets and began to look into alleviating a few patrons of their burgeoning sacks with her reliable and generously helping hand. The invisible Mage Hand went out to grab from the first one a string slowly untying and pulling the thin leather cord-free. She stopped before she looked about and heard the conversation changing. As it does she sighs and stops mid pilfer.

"That is mighty kind of you Tusk!" In which she then hugs the big guy after he says he'll try to not be overtly religious. " I knew I liked you, and not just because you are handsome and the smell of money!" She giggles and grabs a bit more to drink as she looked about.

"Let's change the topic, my friend. Why do you want to go to a pirate island like Darktow." She suggested raising her mug of ale for a drink, "For me it's the pursuit of my research in one of those ancient civilizations that were lost as a casualty during the calamity."

"To be honest," Tusk said, "I am merely escorting my friend Jon on his mission here. The leader of his temple is sympathetic to my church and our elder felt it wise to repay a good turn in some small way." The cleric shrugged sheepishly, tilting his head to the side, palms raised upward. "I presume if I had a more personal motivation it would be similar to yours, a piece of knowledge is always worth chasing down."

She nodded with a smile. She was really starting to like this friendly cleric. "I can empathize."

"If I were given the choice," She said, "I'd be partial to choosing Ioun, the knowing mistress to follow. I'm a fan of knowledge and learning as much as you can about the past...especially forgotten pieces of that past."

She shook her head, "But like I told my mother years ago. My faith is in people. The gods have their own business and its not really anything to do with someone as small as me in this world."

"What a fine philosophy we are all hammering out!" Tusk said, rather quietly. "The 'true' truth is likely grander and simpler than the teachings of any nameable gods' worshipers." The half-orc wondered if he had firmly placed his foot in his mouth again by airing his admittedly unusual religious beliefs. Luckily, the halfing spoke once more.

Jaena paused then pondering the truth of what the man had said. She liked Tusk. He was a good one to talk to, and put things into a good perspective.

Priscilla seated beside her at their table added in then "I didn't mean to offend, I just never have had good experiences with the religious types. Since we will be travelling together for awhile I will try not to be offensive. That goes for any of you who are well more bent on er....religious piety."

Tusk let out a laugh. "I, for one, take no umbrage at anyone disagreeing with me over just about anything. As for drinks, if I am buying, I'll have the largest, strongest spirits this inn has. If you are offering to cover the tab, I will have the largest, strongest, CHEAPEST item on the menu. As a bar maid who was popping out of a corset so tight it embarrass bar maids approached, Tusk noticed that his hand still clasped Jaena's.

"It looks like the others have run off after other entertainments, but I like the way your talking, my friend," Jaena said rather suggestively running a thumb over the knuckles of his finger in their clasped hands, "You buy a bottle of this inn's finest booze for the three of us, and I'll feel obligated to repay the favor somehow...if not tonight...then...well it'll be a long voyage and I will owe you one." She gave him a flirty wink at the last part.

It felt good to put herself out there again like this. She didn't expect anything with Tusk. They still really didn't know each other very well. But he was cute and and after two years with Aaliyah she hadn't had a man to entertain herself with over the night in all that time. Again nothing serious after how she and Aaliyah blew apart, she wanted just some casual fun. A chance to laugh and dance and fuck whoever caught her fancy.

Just until she was over losing Aaliyah.

"That is mighty kind of you Tusk! Priscilla put in, and Jaena gave her the same flirty wink of her eye. She liked the halfling she had a down to streets quality that really resonated with her. And she was fairly hot too. To the half-orc she gave him a hug and added, "I knew I liked you, and not just because you are handsome and the smell of money!"

Jaena laughed at her words. It might be the ale talking but she rather the liked these people. The others of this group of voyagers with her were attractive as well. If she wanted out of the ruins of her relationship with Aaliyah this voyage she had a plethora of options

"Bring us the finest you have," She told the tavern wench whose bust looked like was in danger of exploding out of her corset.

The three of them drank and laughed and flirted for a long time and then blearily when they had enough they made the trek out of the Withered Bird tavern and across the street towards the docks where the Silverpike was moored. The storm above still raged. Rain was coming down in sheets and they huddled under their cloaks to keep out the damp. Their hands raised to keep their hoods over their heads instead of being blown off by the gusting winds.

They made their way onboard a little tipsy but still capable. When they made their way down below decks she was stopped noticing the one called Halland still wailing and raving with the Tabaxi known as Eyes trying to calm him down.

"It's coming, Eyes," He bellowed clutching his head as thunder boomed in the storm above, "Oh, dear gods, it's here. It's here to kill us all. I can feel it in the air I can feel it looking down on us right now. It's gonna happen again. We're all going to die like my Ma and Da did."

She shook her head and glanced back to Tusk, "Poor man. I wish we could do something-"

She stopped in mid sentence. She had learned some of the secret powers of the ancient Madori. Including the ability to stretch out her senses to the very fabric of plane and detect the presence of a rupture or doorway to yet another plane. Ever since learning this power she'd made a habit of trying to do so every day usually finding nothing. To be honest she had hid some doubts of whether this power was ever going to be useful or not to her, until just now. There was an wound ripped open and bleeding out in that fabric of this plane. Now that she actually had found one it was the most obvious and unmistakable thing to her. Somewhere directly above them shrouded in the stormclouds was a portal to another plane.

"He's right," She told them, "There's something above us."

Then came the loudest crash of thunder piecing through their eardrums and scrambling all of their thoughts causing everyone to clutch their ears and double over where they stood. Some recovered instantly others acted sluggish, confused, unable to move well, stunned stupid.

Shaking her head and still feeling the ache in her eardrums Jaena got raised back up. She looked to Tusk and Priscilla. "You two okay?"

"It's here. It's here!" Halland screamed out crumpled over arms crossed around him and rocking back and forth as a whirlwind of air and crackling electricity revolved around him, "I can feel it pulling on the storm caged within me...oh gods...I can't hold it in...It want's out! Somebody stop it! I can't hold it in for much longer!"

She looked past them to the steps to the main deck and told them. "I'm gonna take a look at what's going on up there."

"You know, perhaps it might not be so bad to just keep on going the way we are? I realize that some religions are rather demanding of their followers, or perhaps demanding isn't the right word? Either way, what we just did here? Don't want it to end. I doubt the halfling could compare, either, just between the two of us." Jon said to Diva'ss.

Diva'ss pondered her response a bit. She still wouldn't mind having a fling or two with Verity. She didn't want that to be off the table, but she wouldn't want another night like this off the table either. Jon was a caring lover in the bedroom and she did want his caring soul to be done no harm. His charming eyes looked at her, waiting for a response.

"My Goddess is very demanding, but why would she be against any of this? My room is always open to a great hero such as yourself," Diva'ss said.

She rested there with him, in his nice firm arms, for sometime. She felt her magic slowly return to her as she drifted in and out of sleep. Then she heard it, a massive bang of thunder. The very room they were in shook.

Diva'ss rolled out of bed and grabbed her ears, which were ringing. She stood up slowly then and heard screaming from outside as she started to lift her hands from her ears.

Without thinking for a moment she got dressed and called out to Jon, "let's see what kind of hero you are outside of the bed. If you are half as good as you were in making love to me you should be brilliant with a sword."

Diva'ss didn't wait for a response. She finished getting dressed, casted disguise self again to make herself look once more like the blond headed fair maiden, and went straight outside. The rain was coming down hard and it stun at her eyes. Lightning flashed from up above. She saw a Sea Elf woman crying, holding onto a Goliath male that had been stunned by the blast of thunder. Diva'ss was going to run to help them but then she saw them.

Seven small clouds of dust fell from the sky. They seemed to move on their own and when they shifted they seemed to have faces and claws.

"Mephits?" Diva'ss asked.

She had read up on the creatures, as she read up on many things, but never imagined seeing one as they were native to the planes of different elements. These seemed to be dust mephits which came from the Earth and Air planes and are drawn to death as if they were vultures. That was without question a bad sign.

The creatures were getting ready to attack the Sea Elf and Diva'ss quickly responded. She pulled out her gilded skull and casted summon undead, brining forth a skeleton archer from nothingness.

"Fire at them!" Diva'ss commanded and the skeleton did as told.

It missed with its shot, the rain was fierce, but it did for a moment scare away the mephits. Diva'ss ran to help the Sea Elf. As she did she felt she saw something move through the clouds above the ship. Almost like a serpent made from cloud and lightning. Something very, very large. What kind of Hell had come knocking on their door?

Verity blinked, recognizing the sound of a Thunderwave up on deck, so loud it nearly knocked her out of her hammock. The roil of the sea knocked her so she stumbled briefly, before recollecting herself with some grace, and gathered her brace of daggers. Not entirely sure what she was going see, but certainly not going to try and sleep through this, the tiefling made her way up the steps and into the storm.

"What in all the Hells..."

She saw Diva'ss and a strange beastling, some undead thing that displeased her to look at, but it was doing the good work and attacking these flying lumps with hideous, spindly faces. Other faces, crew, those she'd supped with moved in a blur around her as the rain spattered down in fat, angry drops.

This was not the first fight she had fought, but it was certainly not her usual kind of combat.

An old habit came to mind as she tracked the mephits advancing towards her.

"Look at these dirty fucks! We'd have more to fear from what you find swept under the tables at that miserable Inn." Her eyes narrowed and what started as a simple insult crackled brightly, then almost sizzled viciously into the head of the mephit nearest her. It turned with its outsized nose to look at her, clearly stung on a psychic level.

Her hair whipping freely in the wind, she looked up into the rain and beyond, into the dark clouds. That did not seem good. She whistled low to herself, before leaping backwards, drawing her blades to defend herself.

Jon swore loudly, like, well like a sailor. "Fucking hells! Why can't I get a moment's bloody peace around here?" As Diva'ss dashed out of the cabin, he quickly got dressed, put on his armor as fast as it would allow, and drew his sword and shield before Misty Stepping up onto the deck. The scene that greeted him was utter chaos. "Great Poseidon's beard!", he exclaimed. "Well, a Paladin's work is never done!" He uttered a brief incantation and his sword gleamed with astral radiance as he charged towards the nearest enemy, cutting into it to great effect as it began shedding light around itself, and Jon recoiled slightly into a defensive pose, silently daring it to try and retaliate.

On the deck, Priscilla was happy she had found some companions and didn't have to spend the night in some warehouse. It was a good time to be had a full belly some nice alcohol with food and company, now she would be on a ship and soon on the sea. Which for Priscilla would be a new experience.

As they borded the ship, Priscilla skillfully making herself hidden in the cloaks of her companions heard the crazy sailor and then heard Jaena warn of something above them, the Halfling lass began to look up when Thunder clapped and she went down hard.

It took a few seconds to register what happened. To Priscilla it brought back all those spell duels she was supposed to watch and analyze. Which earned her no real aid as she wasn't one to lob fireballs or thunderous claps of sound, no she was more utilitarian and sneaky as the spells others scoffed at seemed often times the ones to use against foes.

The halfling street rat, thief, fence and fromer arcane student let her instincts kick in. Her lithe frame popping back to her feet with dagger in hand. The weather was not the best for ranged combat and the utterence of Mephits made her regret getting on the boat. What kept her there was her sense of not owing someone, which she still needed to do.

Postioning herself near some boxs that remained on deck she stuck her trusty dagger, which she barrowed form a merchant who thought stiffing his goodtime girsl was apparently a means to make them perform better the next time, and grabbed from her component pouch.

Ruggaming quickly she pulls free a few tarts and a feather. The keen eyed halfling spots a Mephit close to Jon and points her feather at it. "YOUR MOTHER WAS A HAMSTER AND YOUR FATHER SMELLED OF ELDERBERRIES!" Shouted Priscilla at the Mephit near Jon and watched as her tarts dissappeared in magical vapor, which shot straight at the Mephit.

Once down the small halfling will whip back behind the boxes taking cover and hiding from the view of these mephits. At least that is her plan for now.

Diva'ss reached the down Goliath. She put her hand out and some faint white light came out. It touched his skin and started to heal his body. Erathis had given Diva'ss the gift of healing long ago. She just hoped she could heal him well enough.

As she tended to the fallen Goliath and the Sea Elf collapsed onto her, thanking her for saving him, her skeleton archer that she had raised kept firing off arrows. It at last hit one of the Mephits that Jon had struck. A white light was covering the thing making it just a little more easy to hit.

The Mephit then exploded in a big puff of dust. The skeleton shot a second arrow and this one hit a second Mephit right in the back of it's forming, unforming head. It too exploded in a massive puff of dust. Both of the dust puffs blasted into Jon's face. Diva'ss hoped that Jon would not be harmed, according to stories the dust could blind people.

"Be more careful with your aim!" Diva'ss called out at the skeleton.

Then a massive beam of lightning came down from the sky. It hit the ship right where Diva'ss, the Goliath and the Sea Elf stood. Diva's and the Sea Elf were sent flying. Diva'ss crashed onto her back as she fell back onto the ship. Her entire body was in pain. Blood came out slightly from the back of her head. She felt dizzy from the blow.

The Sea Elf was knocked out by the blow and then Diva'ss saw what had shot out the lightning. A massive serpent like snake with several sets of wings. It was made from air, cloud, lightning, the very storm itself. It seemed to swim down from the air and picked up the Goliath in its mouth. It then quickly swam back up.

The Goliath came to in the beasts jaws. He screamed out in horror and went into a crazed rage. He lifted up a Warhammer which was still clutched in his hand. He swung it up and smashed the thing into the beasts face, once, twice, thrice, four times. The beast didn't seem to mind. It closed down its jaws on the Goliath and the lightning bolts that made up its teeth electrocuted the man. His body shook, blood leaked from his mouth. The living storm then opened its jaw and let the Goliath's body fall. He fell a good 40 feet and crashed back into the ship, dead.

"My Goddess, please, save us!" Diva'ss called out.

She looked past them to the steps to the main deck and told them. "I'm gonna take a look at what's going on up there."

The coral-skinned Tiefling they had met earlier emerged from the room she'd been bunking in saying, "What in all the hells..."

Jaena came up to her with Priscilla and Tusk close behind, "Hell if I know...come on. Let's see what's going on up there." Together they raced up to the steps to the top deck of the Silverpike. Once up there they were greeted with the fierce intensity of the storm above Nicodranus. Rain was falling like hammers being buffeted by wild and erratic strom winds.

Above weaving through the thick black and roiling storm clouds was a gargantuan serpentine shape of midnight black and electric blue scales and winglike fins. A massive draconic head's toothy maw opened wide and arcs of lightning spidered out throughout the clouds and striking random spires of buildings in the city as it made a thundering roar not as bad as before but still boneshakingly and nerve-janglingly loud in its fervor.

"What in the hell is that," Jaena heard her ask out loud pointing to the creature in the sky above as if any of the others would have the slightest clue to give an answer for her in that moment.

Then she noticed as many of seven masses of what looked like dust drift down from the storm clouds and as she looked closer she saw each was some sort of small misshapen creatures inside those dust clouds.

Before the question could escape her lips a new voice she recognized as belonging to the beautiful blond woman they had dined with in the tavern, named Diva'ss said, "Mephits?"

"Is that what they-" She paused, the woman that had spoke with the voice of the beautiful blonde Diva'ss was different now. She was green now and it looked like her features like her ears was slight disproportionate to the others. "-Who are y-"

She began moving then, and with a shock Jaena realized she was the only one still standing around like a lump on a toad's behind. She swore drawing her bow and knocking an arrow to draw on it.

Jon drew some sort of glowing sword of light and started swinging for the nearest creature. She saw Priscilla scamper off to one side behind a few boxes to hide from these monsters and the big fella above and Verity Standing firm in the middle actually shouting an insult at the 'Mephit?' and the creature grimace clutching the side of it's head before swiveling it's body around to glare at her menacingly.

She drew the arrow and aimed for the one seeking to attack Verity straight between the beady eyes. She let loose and the arrow flew straight into the teeth of the wind and rain pushing it off her target so it blew between them narrowly missing striking the Tiefling in the back of the shoulder.

Jaena grimaced embarrassed, "Shit! sorry about that."

She drew another aimed far to the right to compensate and tried again to hit between the 'Mephit's?' eyes only for the arrow to be caught by a sudden strong gust and veer off to strike deep into one of the sides of the crates priscilla was hiding behind.

"Troll shit," She swore lowering her beloved but useless in this fight bow down and began heading over to the left seeking some other way to help out. "Shit. Shit. Shit!"

Just then the gigantic snakelike creature above them in the storm clouds roared and a blinding flash of lightning lashed down from its maw to the ship's deck striking and knocking over everyone within fifteen feet of where it hit. Including the green woman that sounded like Diva'ss. She and two of the Silverpike's crew were hit by it. One an elf fell over the other was snatched up the the creature in its jaws. He fought and raged swinging a mighty hammer at the thing until it crushed it in its toothy maw making it dance as the electricity surged through broken, crushed and bleeding flesh.

"Oh shit," She exclaimed watching this happen.

"My Goddess, please, save us!" Diva'ss called out.

Jaena nodded, "Some divine intervention would be useful right about now with that thing up there."

Priscilla Springheel had not fought anything like this since her training. The Cereberus Assembly tried to teach the potential wizards what creatures were and how to defeat them should their spells prove ineffective. Strangely Priscilla having lived mostly on the streets was well versed enough in defending herself. Still dealing with strange creatures was still unnerving.

The Halfling lass looked about the field of battle and began to formulate a plan. Arrows flew, roars and dust began to swirl while the storm raged. Perfect weather for the stealthy. Priscilla began to hop about on her crates. An arrow thunked in and Priscilla crused in her native tongue before she smiled looking at the mephit.

"Hey gigglepuss how about a shiv" She said sassily as she strode in and then threw a dagger at the creatures face. It veered a bit do to the Mephits reaction and the thunderous wind. The faulty aim still buried deep into the mephits body and Priscilla stuck her tounge out.

'Suck eggs, Dust face!"She insulted before dropping back down into the random assortment of boxes, bags and crates. Hopefully it would try and find her.

Divine intervention, of a sorts, was indeed on the way.

Ulrich strode down the dock with the rolling gait of a man more accustomed to life aboard ship than the land. Using his pike as a walking stick, the thumping of it resounded with every step. Those that recognized him gave him wide berth, easing his passage through the throngs. Ordinarily, this would have pleased him though he'd not have admitted it. Today he was spoiling for a confrontation. He'd been ashore too long, spent too much on women and slim boys, lost too much at cards and been too long without exchanging blows with a man. He was ostensibly in port to look for a new berth, and rumor was a few reavers were there. A Priest of Kord could find a ship willing to take him on, and a man of his awful reputation could usually count on some pirates to recognize his worth as well. Truly though, he was looking for someone to give him an excuse to at least punch them.

Suddenly, however, he caught something on the wind. The smell of ozone hit him, then the peal of thunder. He searched the sky and found nothing, then his eyes lit on the ship up the gangplank. There it was, the sound of battle. the howl of unnatural winds and the call of a storm, no matter how unnatural.

"oh how you bless me mighty Kord" In a few bounds he was up the gangplank. He took stock of the situation. Giant storm snake... likely immune to his stronger magics, and perhaps even his mundane weapons. Mephits as well, the little elementals were a distraction, but a distraction that needed to be eliminated so that effort could then be concentrated on the main beast.

Gesturing with his left hand he called out "Mighty Kord! smite my enemies with thy bolt! iluminate them in your radiance that others may strike true!" as he let his prayer leave his lips, his Guiding Bolt erupted from his hand, streaking towards the nearest mephit.

"if they object to me joining the fun, fuck em" he thought to himself of the crew on the ship "burn that bridge when we come to it"

A bearded, bear of a man was suddenly on the deck of the ship, just a little before Diva'ss. He shot out a guiding bolt and had greatly over estimated his target. The mephit was knocked back with a harsh blow that left it stunned and badly harmed.

But more importantly, this strangers actions were a clear sign of what Erathis wanted Diva'ss to do next. She could run over to the dead Goliath and use Revivify to save his life, but if she did, that would be the last powerful spell she could cast. Clearly Erathis felt it was more important to use an attack spell against this air like serpent. It could kill everyone on the ship after all, Hell, maybe everyone in town.

She had to be logical, it's what Erathis demanded. She got back up on her feet, her whole body ached in pain, and she let out a guiding bolt spell of her own straight at the storm serpent over head. The beam of light hit the beast dead on, lighting it up for all to see.

"Quick, the winds are strong! Shoot against the beast of the winds while the light on him still burns!" Diva'ss called out.

"Oh shit," She exclaimed watching this happen.

"My Goddess, please, save us!" Diva'ss called out.

Jaena nodded, "Some divine intervention would be useful right about now with that thing up there."

A bearded man bounded up onto the swaying pirate ship and began to call out to the stormlord, Kord, and pointed at the nearest of the dust creatures. Jaena saw a golden bolt of energy rush out of his pointed finger and strike the thing right in the chest.

"Nice," She shouted to the man, "Good to see you join in the fight, stranger."

Priscilla was poking her head over the crates with her arrow still sticking out the side of it and shouting more insults to the dust creature approaching her.

Then Diva'ss got back up on her feet and Jaena saw her point up to the roiling storm clouds above them and a very similar golden bolt of energy shot out of her finger and struck the giant flying snake thing in the storm.

She turned to her and called out to her, "Quick, the winds are strong! Shoot against the beast of the winds while the light on him still burns!"

"Are you sure," She asked, but the creature roared and a streak of lightning lashed out from its open maw and slammed into the mast of the caravel moored on the other side of the dock from the Silverpike alighting it in flame.

She pulled an arrow and drew it to her bow aiming it up at the golden shining area on its body her bolt of energy had struck. She breathed deep and closed her eyes to center herself. She made a silent prayer to Ioun, or the Wildmother, or Kord, or Erathis...whichever god would listen and give her the help to strike her target and then she let the arrow loose. Her arrow flew straight and then began to be carried away by a windgust but the golden lit area on the beast flared and the arrow flew against the wind striking dead center of the beast's throat. It reared and roared out in pain from the blow.

"Give thanks to Erathis for me," She called back to Diva'ss and then knocked a second arrow and let loose for the one the newcomer had struck with his own golden bolt of energy. It flared seemingly drawing her arrow straight for it against the force of the high and eratic winds. Jaena's arrow struck the back of the dust creature the stranger had lit up and straight through golden illuminated chest area. The mephit thing reacted hunching over with a screech of agony spindly fingers trying to pull the arrow free of its body.

"That's more like it," She smiled and began to move up the stairs and to the bow of the silverpike as the other growling mephit things were getting a little too close for comfort for her. She did all her best fighting at a safe distance with her bow and arrows doing all the talking for her.

Noticing the newcomer, Jon roared in appreciative laughter, but saved further dialogue for later as he imbued his sword with divine energy and finished off the creature that the newcomer and Jaena had thus far damaged. Unfortunately, the pirate crew wasn't doing so well, and as one of them fell to another mephit, he dropped a loaded crossbow, which Jon picked up with a swift rolling motion and as he aimed at the Tempest and fired, the additional stopping power caused the crossbow bolt to require less "course correction" before it joined Jaena's arrow in the back of its throat. He squared off against the mephit that had felled the crewman, his sword and shield back in his hands and held in a defensive stance.

Priscilla seeing the tide turn smiled and rolled forward before she spun and leapt. With her movements, she let loose her dagger watching it sink into the flesh of the mephit, she then landed on the deck.

"Oops did I do that!" The halfling lass mocked as another dagger was thrown and embedded in the mephit before she then stuck out her tongue and let her finger pull down her lower eyelid in defiance.

The Mephit gurggled and chocked before hacking and wheezing=. It exploded in a puff of dust and her daggers clattered to the ground as she looked about exposed but ready to grab another dagger and fight.

Ulrich roared, the huge cleric gripped his pike in both hands and charged headlong into battle. His dark hair whipped behind him in a frenzy, driven by the winds and the speed of his passage. his heavy steps thundered on the planks of the deck, announcing his coming. To the mephit though, it would be of no avail. He thrust forward, given extra force by the sprint, and drove the point of his pike dead through the mephit's core "Kord! another testament to the might of your church!" he bellowed, drawing his pike back from the empty air as the dust cloud dissipated with the death or dismissal of the little elemental. he looked around then, surveying the field, intent on clearing out the mephits "My magic is of no use against a being of the storm!" he calls out "one cannot kill lightning, with lightning."

Diva'ss was hunched over in pain and her white hair was starting to turn black from her blood coming out of the back of her head. The illusion she had of a young, blond, temptress plastered over herself no longer fit. That illusion still looked like she hadn't been scrapped at all, but yet she was holding her side in clear hardship.

Diva'ss let out a sigh and let the illusion drift off of her. Many had seen through the disguise on this day, it was clear Erathis was trying to tell her it was not needed for this quest. But, far more importantly, it took her mind just a little bit to keep the disguise up. She could not fight this air serpent with her mind trying to cover her form at the same time. If she did not focus her entire self in this combat she would die, they all would.

As the illusion drifted away and Diva'ss let her Verdan body be seen she took her left hand to her side and white light came out, healing some of her cuts and wounds, not nearly enough though. Her other hand pointed up at the sky snake and let out two blasts of pure energy. Eldritch Blast!

Both flew strong and true and completely missed the serpent. The wind had picked up again and the guiding bolt spell had faded. Diva'ss skeleton companion let out two arrows of its own. One arrow did strike the air beast. The other arrow flew up into the sky, never to be seen again.

The serpent responded by spitting out a beam of lightning that blasted the skeleton. It exploded in a pile of dust and bone.

"Damn!" Diva'ss stated.

The air beast then spun around and lashed out it's tail. It hit Diva'ss dead on and sent her flying. She went through the air a good thirty feet and crashed into the sea. A massive splash of water shot up around her.

She rested on her back, feeling the pain over taking her and started to drift off into darkness.
