complete with Elvis impersonators and leather tuxedos to rent! We made the decision over a week ago, and having just announced to my family tonight, it's official (if only because the flower girl is going to kill us both if we cancel)! D (aka Technobarbarian here, but I don't think he's posted much.) and I are getting married in July.

The big question now is, of course, do the Hide House and LeatherWorld have bridal registries? I'm pretty sure Dom Depot does.

BDSM chapel or not it can take a LOT of organisation and stress (I'm getting married in 3 weeks time so I know!) but don't let that put you off!!! I hope you have lots of fun planning and making the day special.

Rubber's too hot here. I'm going for a white sun dress with purple accents as the flower girl is a purple fiend. (Yes, my primary wedding planner is 9 years old! But she has excellent taste.) Alternatively, we're thinking a Hawai'ian theme as we're doing it Hawai'ian style, sort of. That is, I lived in Hawaii for several years and every wedding I went to was similar to this: The bride, groom, officiant (clergy or civil) and immediate family were the only ones present at the ceremony, after which, they decamped to the reception/party where all the friends and non-immediate family were waiting. We're doing something similar to that so I'm thinking maybe a Hawai'ian theme party. Nothing is ironed out too much yet, though. Aside from the fact that we have a date and the Jr. Domme is going to be our flower girl.

Congratulations! I'm thinking maybe we'll need a wedding picture thread, soon.

Wow that sounds like a really exciting idea....I've never heard of a Hawai'ian themed wedding before....but there again I'm certainly no wedding expert, I've been totally making it up as I go along

we really should get that wedding pics thread going as I think there's a few people with their dates coming up over the next few months and who wouldn't want to see the blushing brides in all their glory?!!

I'm kinda improvising on the fly here, too. Watcha doing for wedding cake? We're doing dutch chocolate layers with raspberry filling in between and buttercream frosting...

mmmmmmmm that cake sounds good We're having a two tier cake, one the traditional rich fruit cake (for the grandparents mainly) and then a creamy chocolate layer for those who are feeling decadent/piggish!!! Still haven't decided how it will be decorated though *sigh* my cake maker is getting cross with me!

The thing I have most enjoyed doing is chosing the music, we're having an irish folk band at the reception but lots of our favourite tunes during the ceremony itself. It caused a lot of arguments but I think the soundtrack will be one to remember!!!

Very cool. We're just sticking a bride and groom on top and calling it done. Music wise, D's doing that part. He has good taste and 4 hard-drives absolutely stuffed with music.

are you getting to chose your "coming down the aisle" song though? that was all I insisted on (I chose fatboyslim's praise you) if indeed you are having a grand entrance? I am very scared about it, but looking forward to it at the same time, after all, its probably the only time i'm going to make 70 heads turn at once!!! Or do you think since you are just having close family etc you won't bother with all that malarky.

If we do, do that (we haven't decided yet) it's going to be Pachelbell's Canon or "Golden, golden" by Silly Wizard. (Thanks bronn and snowy for reminding us about that one.) We may just quietly enter and take our places and let the Jr Domme toss flower petals at us. She's doing double duty as a ring bearer, too.

Congratulations!!! Wow, do you think this board has some magical love potion attached to bring about so many wedded bliss unions? Seems we are not short on the love thing. BTW, Francisco sends his congrats too, but says his heart is broken as he thought you were pining for him. Now as with the standard Lit wedding posts, we want pics!!! ....wedding will do, though if you want a honeymoon thread in the APF I am sure it will be well received.

I am in a very unique position... I am married to my Dom and have a Master who will be collaring me in June... I am having a BDSM honeymoon...as it were... with Both present... I have looked through the threads on poly and the dos anddonts and cant figure out how it works as of yet... seems to be an interesting position that I find myself in... Was wondering if anyone has any hints or advice for me or places that might help with answers.. To me my marraige comes first, which tends to make my Dom more in control. Thanks Shyguy. I'm still staving off panic once every few hours. Contrary to popular belief, I was the flaky one about the big M. It scares me spitless, because I've seen a whole 2 long term relatively successful marriages in my family. Considering that on one of them, he's a truckdriver and is gone 3 weeks out of the month and in the other one, they slept in seperate rooms for last 30 years the odds ain't good! On the other hand, the couple that mentored me in the lifestyle have been together for 13 years and married for 11. So maybe there's hope.
