I have decided to wear a tuxedo in 2020.

Rule #32 applies. Will post a pic of the occasion.

Do I go out and find a black tie event?

Or throw a party where black tie is expected?

I wore my first one age 16 - long before most Lit people were born.

I have given away my grey tailed morning suit with Grey Topper and gloves.

I had to wear one a a few months back. Kind of a pain, I rented it. I have some nice suits but only wear them a few times a month these days.

Even with as often as I wear suits, and like wearing them, I could never pull that one off.

I bought mine from a local tailor who was retiring. It was in an extra large size which is why he hadn't sold it. It was cheaper than hiring and I wore it for my daughters' weddings.

I got rid of it because I'm not as large as I was. I could have had it altered but why? There will be no more weddings.

the same one, all year? that could become, shall we say, noisome? and surely you'll have to take it off to shower. you are going to shower, aren't you?

Me too but I am making an active attempt to bring back the roaring 20s so you're all invited to my bitchin party but nobody gets to drive their own cars. You all have to switch cars for no reason. Somebody shows up in their own car they can't get in.
