Webam not broadcasting on Yahoo ,essenger

Has anyone that uses Yahoo messenger and is running Windows XP have problems getting your webcam to work? I think i've tried it all, I cant get my camera to broadcast. Everything as far as the webcam and messenger have been installed and uninstalled multiple times so instalation is not the problem. I guess at the point where you click your webcam and it tries to broadcast i'm having the issue. It tries to broadcast then says ,"Network error occured trying to connect to the server" then goes idle. I would be very grateful to someone who can assist me in this manner. Thanks

Mine used to work behind a firewall, no problem - then a dictionary fell on it that had been sitting on the monitor. That buggered it rightly.

I have this problem every once in awhile with a friend. Restarting the computer of the person who's not receiving images always seems to solve it. It seems to happen more often when I'm using a lot of RAM for multiple applications, or even just a lot of tabs in my browser.

Is this a recent issue, or have you never gotten the cam to work?
