Life's been pretty rough lately... My dad passed away May 30th after a long battle with Parkinson disease... pneumonia finally took him and he slept away. His services were June 2nd and were so perfect... we laughed, we cried, we thought. anyway... i've been gone the last few months dealing with his progressing illness and then his death...
thank you to those of you who have checked in... i'll be back one day but not sure when...

I feel for you. My dad passed from Parkinson's in '04, after an almost 10 year battle, then my father in law passed from it two years ago after an almost 17 year battle. This is a very degrading disease that is almost as hard on the family as the person with it. My mom died with Alzheimers. This was not a good way to pass either.
My condolences to you and your family.

thanks everyone for you thoughts here and in PM's - spent the weekend with my mom. I feel bad for her - they were married 45 years and the last 2+ years she's been his caretaker 24/7 - the last 1.5 years she's done everything for him. She's feeling pretty lost and can't seem to focus. I told her not to be so hard on herself and hang in there.
On a personal note, my sex drive is finally coming back to life. It hasn't been that dormant since my youngest was still breast feeding!!! Hubby is very happy.

Sex can be a marvelous stress reliever during hard times. I think that the last time my ex wife and I made truly tender love with one another was right after Dad died. It was very special to be reassured that someone still loved me and was there for me. Also we used no birth control and could've easily conceived a new life right after an old one had just come to an end.
