Thats a big change to make but I lnow you got your head on straight so I am sure it will be the right thing for you.
You ought to stick with Dusty. Its a good name for Texas. You can tell people you are a cowboy!

Actually, that's the name I'm probably sticking with. It's the name I'm going to be billed under when I see my dr for Gender issues as opposed to being sick.

I am thinking about changing my name legally. I've got a short list of what I am considering. Dusty of course, because everyone calls me that anyways. So that's top of the list.

Dusty
Kameron
Aerin
Bailey

It will be a hard choice when the time comes lol.
I like Aerin...I like the way it's spelled, anyway. It reminds me of a character from a videogame who is a favorite of mine. Anyway, I always kind of liked the name Kameron, too. Hope you like whichever you decide to use!

Yes, I love the way Aerin is spelled too. I came up with that spelling on for a character that I roleplay :).

I'm really torn because I love all four names lol.

hmmm I like Kameron yet Dusty works too cause lol everyone calls you that anyways.

WOW Dusty congratulations on making the decision!

Sorry for coming so late to the thread, it has been a crazy week for me. But I come back to great news!

I think Dusty would be great for a legal name. It's who I think of you as anyway!

Thank you very much, it's taking me awhile to make it and I'm still a little nervous about it but only because of my family. My doctor is taking it super slow though and because of that I'm growing very anxious! lol.

Hey, I understand crazy weeks, we all have them. Jess and I were gone over the weekend, we went to a huge live music festival, it was really awesome.

Yes, my trans stuff that I deal with at the doctor is under the name Dusty already or soon will be at least. I finally got my named changed on here too. I replaced grrl with Wolfe

I just wanted to say I think it is great that you are sharing this with us. Thank you. And to wish you happiness and strength on this journey. I hope your family will love and embrace you for being you. :rose:

How about Vikrum Mookerjee? I always liked that name. If you want to keep your last name, then Mookerjee could be your middle name. Or Dusty Vikrum Mookerjee [your last name].

Thank you Debbie, I'm happy to share this with my lit family. It's good to be back here after my almost two year hiatus. I'm not sure how my family is going to take this, but I realize it's not something that I can just sweep under the rug lol. I mean, my voice is going to change, my body, everything lol. I know my family loves me, so hopefully they can learn to love a straight -almost male me. lol :rose:

That's a very odd name.... I think I will stick to something easy to spell lol

Oh man, ease of spelling is really important! My last name is kind of hard to spell if you're only hearing it, so I constantly have to give it letter-by-letter for people. The only time this doesn't happen is when I'm giving a deaf friend or client my last name, but then I run into having to explain why I sign the two Z's as one movement (instead of two separate Z's).

There's a dentist in my town named Dr. Przybyla, I saw him once when my regular dentist was on vacation and I finally learned how to pronounce the name. (Prizz-BYE-luh) It's on a sign in front of his building so I see it all the time.

Oh I know... I have a Germanic last name and very few people are able to say it correctly until I tell them how. I can spell it for them when I'm doing paper work and they still spell it how it sounds even though I am telling them the correct way. It's very funny. I've seen a couple of last names that are totally consanents. It's strange.

Germanic names are easy for me actually.

And anyway, why is Vikrum Mookerjee hard to spell? Just spell it how it sounds.

You could shorten it to Elmo...no, that's worse.

Actually, as it is Italian for William, it's better to shorten it to Will or Bill.

I like it fine now, it wasn't so much fun when I was a kid. ;)

OH I bet it wasn't fun. I got made fun of because my last name and it wasn't all that bad. Kids can be so cruel.

I still don't see what's wrong with the name Vikrum Mookerjee. I think you're instantly rejecting it just because I was the one who suggested it.

No no no.... That's not the reason. I prefer Dusty, it's what most people call me anyways. It's just a matter of preference. My gf and I might eventually change our last names to Wolfe. I'm a writer, my pen name at the moment is Dusty Wolfe, due to family issues I choose not to write my erotica under my real name.

I honestly have nothing against you. You have done nothing wrong to me. You haven't pissed me off or anything so please don't think it has anything to do with you.

You know that i support you all the way on this Dusty. You will always be the same great person that you have always been, no matter what gender you represent.

i love ya darlin!!! :rose:
