Yes...that's right I did it!

I reenlisted today and now Uncle Sam owns my little ass until August 2005.

At which time, I will say goodbye to 20 years, 29 days in the Army, take half my paycheck for the rest of my life, over $40,000 in education money and hopefully a little bit of medical benefits and go get a "real" job.

That's right folks....I'm a LIFER!
I always knew it, but today made it finally...no more reenlistments. This was the last one. Funny, it shouldn't be a big deal, but I'm actually a little choked up about it.
I have offically given almost my entire adult life to my country.

Nothing like raising your right hand and swearing to uphold the constitution and protect this country against all enemies, to bring out your patriotism and bring chills down your spine.

*sniff* *sniff* I feel so proud!

Okay, you all may return to the games, just had momentary need to share.

I, for one, thank and commend you. I could never do it willingly, I'm glad there are people out there who have the nerve.

I'm proud of you. I have a lot of respect for any who serve in the military and particularly as a career. It takes a lot of sacrifice and you all serve us. Thank you, way to go, and be proud

Thanks to all of you.

I wasn't looking for a pat on the back, just wanted to share the moment....however now I feel more proud.

Thanks!((((lickerish,Deyra,*bratcat*))))

*snapping to attention and saluting you smartly*

Thank you for your service brazenblaze :)

Havoc

I'd salute if I knew how. 20 years at any job in an achievement, but especially at one as thankless as the military. Congrats!

Way to go, Blaze! What an accomplishment. It must feel great to have only 5 more years to go. Here I am, just starting out! Again, congratulations.

Better person than I........Ya got my respect............

Feels great to have just under 5 years to go.
Thanks!

Got time for one more pat on the back? You done good! That last re-up does kinda give you those feelings. For me the last year was the longest! What kinda surprised me is how fast time passed after I got out. I had to take of my watch for 6 months. Kept looking at it and thinking what everyone would be doing. It was kinda strange. Enjoy your last tour!!

Congrats BB, all the best. Now If I can convince my brother to do the same.... ;)

Just remind him we have a Rep. president now...soldiers are about to climb up the food chain again. lol

Guru...DriveSouth

No...Thank You!

It means a lot that people out there still appreciate us. After spending time on Recruiting, I had started to feel like no one cared.
