Today I was walking through a local mall when I saw a black crystal cat in the window of a jewelry store. It looked familiar so I went in and asked about it.

I t was made by the Baccarat Company in France and was a limited edition. The price? $400.00.

I got mne back in 1985. It had been shipped to a shop by accident and I bought the damned thing for $35.00. Not a bad investment for something that just looked nice.

Assuming 22 years and a current value of $400, the value of the cat increased by some 11.7% per year. Not bad at all, but not a grand slam home run either.

Ya know... normally I wander through and dont say a whole lot... but your comment honestly set my teeth on edge.

Everything that came after "Not bad at all" never needed to be said. Why did you feel the need to diminish his news with a oh lovely but it still wasn't perfect comment.

I felt that part of the statement was in poor taste.
