I'm supposed to be helping Dad gutting it and redecorating.

Started out with wanting to replace the carpet...

Now it's repainting the ceiling, papering the walls and replacing the flooring, new cabinets and new lighting, not going to do the "suite" as that only got replaced a couple of years ago.

Mind you M&D do seem to make thing rather hard on themselves in that respect.

Used to know a couple who would completely redecorate one room a year.

Much better plan if you ask me, budget for it, and do the maintainance at the same time, no nasty surprises.
