West Richland Tavern.

"What kind of issues do you mean," she wasn't sure if he meant issues like the one last night or maybe a different sort. She fussed with her hair and made sure it covered the finger marks that were on the sides of her neck. She turned to face him, the question still hanging in her mind.

"Well, you know, this isn't the best part of town. Mainly people behaving themselves, people not getting too drunk and disorderly, so on and so on." Jack looked at her a little bit closer as she started playing with her hair. "Contrary to popular belief, while I may be viewed as "corrupt" or "evil" for what I do in and out of the law enforcement community, it still needs to be done. It doesn't mean that I don't care," stated Jack. He ordered another beer as he finished working on his current one.

Tess watched him carefully and considered his answer.

"It's nothing we couldn't handle in house," she told him with a sigh," I'll let you get back to your drink unless you need me for something else."

She gave him a sly smile and her blue eyes smoldered as she glipped on the seductive charm. There was eeally no need since he was perfectly aware of her talwnts but Tess liked playing the part anyway.

Jack gave Tess a wry grin. "I'll definitely let you know if I need you for anything else, Tess," he replied.

"Is it just you and Alexa working right now?" he asked with a curious look on his face. He knew the other day there were a lot more people, both customers and workers, and he wasn't sure if it was just so early or if they were occupied with other things.

"The twins are around here somewhere, the dark haired girl you probably saw the other night had to go out of town for alittle bit. I think it's just a slow night," she winked and put her hand gently on his arm, "be sure and let me know about later."

Tess saw she had a table of guys by the stage so she patted Jack's arm and told him she better get to work.

As people started to filter into the tavern Rex stopped his attempts at playing pool. When Alexa and DJ came in he just nodded to them as they went their separate ways. Apparently they had spent the night together somewhere. That was obvious even to Rex. He could tell by the way Alexa avoided Tess and Hannah.

Rex moved to the bar, grabbed an apron and made himself available to wait tables or pour beers, which ever was needed.

Tess was talking to a guy he had seen here before and there was one table of guys near the stage. Unless business picked up, this was going to be a long evening.

Jack smiled and shot a wink back. "Don't worry, you know I will," replied Jack. He noticed that she was heading over towards the area where Alexa was. He continued to work on his second drink as he was killing some time.

DJ was keeping an eye on everything while making sure that the music was still going smoothly. He could see a possible confrontation popping up between Alexa and Tess, and surreptitiously made his way closer to diffuse the situation if it got going. This was something that needed to be handled after work, not during the shift.

Alexa worked on making sure tables were clean, avoiding Tess and Hannah. She didn't have any tables to wait on, but she still remained on her feet.

When Tess moved back more towards where she was at, she moved up toward the front of the bar. Thirsty, she sat down at the bar and beckoned Rex over. "Hey, could you get me a glass of cold water, no ice, please?" she asked softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

She saw Jack there and mentally groaned, she didn't want to talk to him right now. She was still pissed at him.

Jack looked over at Alexa and was curious if she was still mad at him. He knew that what he did wasn't something that she probably wanted to deal with, but he knew the quicker the problem was solved, the better it was for him.

"Hi, Alexa, how are you doing?" he asked as she ordered her water. "Did you want anything else to drink?"

DJ watched as Alexa and the undercover cop talked, making sure to not get involved unless he was needed. He moved through the pool tables, noticing that everything was pretty calm. He was pretty happy about that. No fighting meant that he didn't have to kick people out, which meant that potential customers didn't have to see that happen.

He moved to the bar, grabbing a bottle of water, before walking back to the sound booth to check on everything. He could tell they were about to run out of the current playlist, so switched it over to Hannah's seamlessly, before going back to watching what everyone was doing.

"No, thank you, Jack," Alexa said dryly, accepting her water from Rex and taking a sip from it. "And I'm doing fine."

Troy was pretty bored out the front. It had been a pretty slow start to the night and he had a feeling he knew why. Most of the guys coming in looked like out of towners, he hadn't really seen any locals yet. That was never a good sign, especially after the other night. Still he was surprised it was both sides avoiding the place. Perhaps word hadn't got back to Bob yet. Then again if this was an agreement between the two of them they were in big trouble. Hannah better start talking to him and fast so he could sort this out.

"That's good to hear," replied Jack. "So how are you enjoying the town so far?" he inquired as he took another sip of his beer. He could tell that the questions were starting to get to Alexa based on her previous response.

"It's pleasant, I like it here, and hope to stay," Alexa said nonchalantly, occasionally looking to see where Tess was. She didn't she'd be able to work if a confrontation happened during work hours.

DJ was watching Alexa, knowing that if she needed help, he would step in. The guy might be an undercover cop, but he was a customer currently, and if he was bothering one of the girls, DJ would ask him to leave. He would do it for any one of the girls, not just Alexa.

He made sure everything was okay elsewhere, before trying to make eye contact with Alexa. He wanted to make sure she was okay, and that he wasn't rushing in to something he didn't need to be in.

"I'm glad to hear that," replied Jack. Hopefully over time she would forgive him for his earlier actions. "So what are the current rates for your time?" he asked.

Alexa thought. "I typically do 75 for the first hour, then 25 for the hours after that. Basic rates. You want anything kinky, you're going to have to pay more," she told him. Yeah, she was pissed at him, but hey, he's a paying customer. "I take it you remember the rules."

Tess moved through her area and when someone sat in what was usually Raven's section she picked up their order also. She had planned to just not talk to Alexa but Tess knew they were going to have to split the third section.

She walked up behind Alexa and tapped her lightly on the shoulder.

Alexa turned around from Jack and smiled at Tess. While it was one of her usual warm smiles, her eyes showed guilt and upset. "Hey, Tess. Need something?" she asked politely. She made quick eye contact with DJ, just to let him know she was doing fine.

"Of course I do. Be a gentleman," Jack responded with a grin on his face.

Jack looked over Alexa's shoulder as he saw Tess approaching. He was wondering what was going on.

"Raven's out of town, I didn't know if you saw her note or not. We're going to have to split her tables. I got the one that just sat down but the next one is yours," she was direct and she walked to the other end of the bar to give the drink orders to Rex. She could tell Alexa and DJ were uncomfortable around her and for good reason she thought, let them be uncomfortable. They both had messed up good.

She took the drinks to the new table and could see DJ watching her in her peripheral vision.

DJ braced himself for a confrontation between Tess and Alexa, but figured it wouldn't happen. Not while they both needed to work. He looked around, realizing that Raven wasn't there. He smiled, before wondering if maybe Tess was going to ask how they were going to handle Raven's section. He kept an eye on things just to make sure nothing happened.

Troy decided it was quiet enough that he would leave the carding to the bar staff and do random checks inside the club. Stepping inside he looked around. The place was half empty and even though DJ had some decent music going the place still felt sort of dead. His eyes sort out and found The slimy cop Jack. He had winced when he had walked in but he couldn't refuse the guy entry. Now at least he could keep an eye on him. Tess and Alexa were beside him at the bar and Dj was looking in their direction. He motioned for him to get back to his job and started to wander casually towards them.

Jack had just finished his second drink as Tess started to head back to her table she was taking care of. "Shall we go spend some quality time together, Alexa?" Jack asked.

He stood up and waited for her to get up as well.
