We've Bought a House!

But where will Abs' flying monkeys roost?

Oh, I know. You can direct them to your sister's room.
(But first ask very prettily if they'll yank the carpet out of the bathroom. Many hands...)

Hehe, what room?

I was good. We went to IKEA and all I bought was some kitchen utensils, a couple of little storage boxes and two dining chairs that were REALLY reduced.

We have a tenative move-in date of the 5th of September. And by "move in" I mean "get keys". I refuse to sleep in a PINK BEDROOM. *goes paint shopping*

It looks like one of the Olsen twins' shoes

Mmm. Ikea.
That's very strong of you, wee Darkling. To be so good.
Did you see this thing?

Or is it just in America?
It's made of banana leaves.
And I think it looks like a ruddy great boot, or some sort of spanking paddle. Or possibly a piece of sporting equipment.
And it looks very uncomfortable. How would you get up without looking like a beached whale?
Still...

Oh I definitely want to help paint. Painting is fun.
And I think it's wise not to sleep in the pink bedroom.
Sleeping in a pink bedroom could cause all sorts of sleep disorders and nightmares.
You could start believing you were Barbie!!!

Very nice and Congrats.

Yes that pink room has got to be changed, although it is no worse than our bedroom was. (Pink and gray rug with Pink Blinds.)

Have fun with the renovations. They can be a challenge but they are well worth it.

Aah. She's turning it into her "living room" and is wrangling the right to be allowed to smoke in there. I doubt it'll happen, and if it does I will be the tinyist bit miffed that they backed down on their principles, just cause she's lazy and won't go outside to smoke.

I saw, I've seen them before, they're surprisingly comfortable, but we have seating coming out of our EARS!

I hated Barbie as a kid, I'd be more likely tearing her head off :)

lol, thats not the worst that could happen. When i first moved to ohio money was tight and I couldnt afford picky. I ended up with an apartment that had a pink kitchen and bathroom. It wasnt just the walls either. The stove, refrigerator, tiles, cabinets, bathroom floor, toilet, tub and tiles were all pink. For me hating pink it was a stretch at best to stay sane. (If I was sane to begin with.) :D

We have a pink living room right now so when you get your bedroom done if you wanna head to my house we can have a rip the hit off the wall partty;)
