What do you wear? Cotton, silk, wool, linen, polyester, rayon, nylon, etc.

My shirts are mostly cotton, silk, and linen. I have one shirt of some synthetic stuff. The label is gone. My pants are mostly nylon, because that's what I find in pants that can be converted to shorts, and some wool pants. I saw one pair of official Boy Scout pants in a thrift store. Great pockets, but I couldn't accept wearing polyester just to have pockets. I settled for thick cotton army pants.

When I was much younger, I probably paid a lot more attention to my wardrobe that I do now. And I had some very nice dress shirts that were silk. But they were rather a hassle to maintain.

Any more, my wardrobe is split into two major sections.

There's the work wardrobe, which is basic polyester blend, button down shirts, long-sleeved, and black (of course). I still wear comfortable/casual slacks to work, but I'm wearing my jeans more and more. It used to only be Fridays. Now I've moved up to Thursdays and Fridays.

And then there's the home wardrobe, which is jeans and a t-shirt. And throw on a hoodie when I go outside.

If we're dressing up for an event, I will get a bit fancy still. But the fabrics are still pretty basic. And all of it is always black. It's just my thing for the past 4 decades.

I wear cotton, wool, linen and silk, plus occasional rayon, tencel and ramie.
When sewing, I use cotton, wool, linen and silk only.

Now that you’ve started on fiber content, how about weaves like cotton lawn, wool worsted, silk satin …

I wear viscose which is semi-synthetic and made out of plant-based material. very breathable, drapes nicely, and can be made into different weaves and weights. Undergarments are silk. I like linen and cotton. I can't wear sheep wool - allergic to it. Love alpaca and cashmere. I never wear nylon or polyester. I don't really wear bras and often go commando in the summer.

They're not labelled on the tags. I don't know what weaves are in my clothes. Some of my shirts are probably silk satin.
