What Cums in Dreams?

Dave

He rolled his eyes, and reached over, grabbing a peice of pizza. "Yeah, and brag to whom? You? Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?" He foleded the pizza, and took a large bite of it. After chewing a little, he looked over at her.

"And you came back without your money. Tch. I'm so disappointed in you. You know, you keep up acting like a tomboy and soon the only guys you'll be attracting will be gay."

Erin

"That's alright with me pal.. The less hassels and shit I get the better! I can't get through college with boys chasing me.. not that they would want to.. Besides I like having free time to do as I please.. Hey! I'm the ice queen remember?" I smiled at him and rose from the bed. Walking into his bathroom, I washed my hands and dried them. Coming back out, I peered over his shoulder a second at the website he was looking at.
"Always reading and learning... No wonder you are not getting laid.. Though you do know.. when you are rich and famous you'll get all the pussy ya want.." I poked him in his side and moved back to the bed.
"I'm stealing your bed for a few.. I need a nap, but not a long one.. That alright? Can you wake me in an hour?" I could have easily gone to my own room and set the alarm clock but it wouldn't have woke me up if I wanted it to.
I closed my book and curled up on my side, watching him type at his desk. It would put me to sleep soon, the steady clicking of the keys.
I yawned and rolled to my back, staring up at the white ceiling..
"You know.. I think there is something wrong with me..Shouldn't I be interested in guys and parties?" Smiling, i closed my eyes.

Dave

He looked over, and slowly stopped typing. It wasn't that important. Only a paper that was 35% of his grade in one class. He already had 'A' material, but wanted t throw the curve enough to flunk everybody else.

He cset the alarm on his watch, and closed his eyes, leaning back in his chair. Letting himself drift, he slipped into a realm of half-sleep, and slowly spread himself out, searching.

The Dream--

It was dark. Erin was alone in the library. The shelves were empty, and the only light came from the windows, which showed only a fuzzy picture of multicolored light. Sounds came from outside, the thudding of music. Whatever it was, it seemed to be a party of some type.

As she walked towards the windows the get a closer look, a sound turned her. Dave is sitting in a chair, feet propped on a table, the front legs of his chair in the air as he reads.

As she moves forward, the title of the book reads 'The Diary of Erin Parker. Dave glances over the book, and closes it as he grins at her. "What? You think I was going to leave you all alone? That wouldn't be very gentlemanly, would it? Want a slice?"

He holds up the partially eaten pizza that has just replaced his book, and grins.

The World--

He was starled by the beeping of his watch. He shook his head, and grabbed another slice of pizza. "Erin! Hour's up!"

Erin

The dream was a little different, the music was thumping and drawing me nearer to it. Pausing I turned and there in a chair was Dave, reading my diary??
I came towards him, my intention was to take the diary when he spoke up.

"Erin, Hour's up!"

I rolled over and shook my head, "No, I dont want a piece.. Give me that book!" I jerked up right on my arms and laid back down.
A little confused, I lay there a moment, wondering what in the world was going on?

"Sorry, weird dream..." I fell silent, my eyes closed as I tried to wake myself up enough to move.

Dave

"Must have been a really weird dream. Usually I have to throw things at you, but you woke up right away. Tell me, was it about a guy? Ohh, yeah. Considering you, a weird dream must be deep into your hidden sexual desires. Or about giant talking baked goods. I have those dreams. They're freaky."

He chuckled to himself, and took a bite of his pizza. "So, myou want a slice? We got plenty pizza left."

Erin

"Oh ha ha.. you're killing me.. No, I was dreaming you were reading my diary?? Oddly there was music in the background to some party I think.. In the library?? Odd dream.. And I don't have sexual dreams!" I threw the last pillow at his head and crawled over to the pizza box. Taking one of the last two pieces, I munched on it and popped back open my book.
"I hate studying this shit, and Your smart ass comments aren't helping... Giant pastry huh?" I chuckled.

Dave

He raised an eyebrow. "Everyone dreams about sex. It's part of puberty. And considering I can definitely tell you're female, I would think you've past that point. This would be a classic example of projection. You moving all your dirty thoughts to make it seem as if their coming from my own dirty mind. And I was reading your diary? Why? It's not like we don't spend most of our time together anyway. And yes, giant pastries. Mostly muffins and a large Danish."

He let the pillow hit him, and grabbed it before it fell to the ground, placing it behind his head as he turned his gave to the computer screen.

"Well, I certainly hope it's not too hard for you to understand, as I'll want to take a nap soon, and then I can brag about how we slept together, too, once my charming comments stop keeping you awake."

Erin

Climbing off of Dave's bed, I gathered my things and moved to the door.
"You have fun with your wet dreams, I am heading to bed. Hopefully I can pass this test tomorrow..." Picking up the pizza box, I figured I could just throw it away on my way to my room. There were trash cans all over this place.
"You couldn't read my diary, I dont have one.." I laughed and pulled the pillow out from behind his head, throwing it back onto his bed.
"Nite, and don't hog all the hot water in the morning this time!" I ruffled his hair and left his room. Throwing the box into the basket as I entered my own room and crawled into bed.
Turning on the night light beside my bed, I read for an hour before dozing off.

Dave

He locked the door, undressed, and turned off all the lights before locking down his computer. He yawned, and climbed into bed. He stretched a little, and closed his eyes, letting himself drift.

A while later, he felt another mind, easing deep into sleep. He reached out, and felt himself slip.

The Dream (Dave's View)--

He sighed, existing in a state or near nonexistance. She wasn't dreaming yet. He'd tested his theory earlier, and it had proved positive. Now he'd start to turn her dreams. He was tired of just having to be her friend. The amount of time they spent together one would almost think they were in a relationship, yet he doubted if she'd be very open to the idea.

A few dreams to make her a little more open to the idea, though, and maybe she would be. Nothing too deep, though. He didn't want to scare her off. He was only begining to get a grip on this ability, and he wasn't exactly sure what it was.

Suddenly, things began to appear in the nothingness around him. He let himself slid into the background, fitting in with the inanimate objects as she began to dream.

He'd see what she was dreaming tonight before he stepped in...

Erin

The book slid off of the bed as I sank deeper into the dream.
Smiling, I relaxed and let it take me where it would.

The dream

Walking through the college campus, I glanced around the area and seen nothing. That was the strangest part of the dream. Middle of the day and nothing. No cars driving, skateboarders, bikers, couples strolling. None of it.
Stopping where I was, I turned around again and glanced behind me. The clock had stopped ticking, the doors were shut, no birds were singing.
A flash of something and I am standing in the locker room of the gym. Wearing a towel and water dripping off of me as if I had just came out of the showers. Nothing. No one around, things strewn around the floor, but not a soul in sight.
"Hello?" No one answers me, but suddenly I can hear things. Slowly as I walk towards the double doors I start hearing sounds.... Sex sounds? This was strange, I felt strange, everything was odd around me. The breathing kept getting heavier and louder, the moans soft then demanding.....

Dream Dave

He faded in behind her, just sliding into reality from one of the lockers. He stepped up behind her, wrapping his arms around her. As she turned to look at him, he grinned.

Stepping back, he pulled the towel off of her. She was dressed in a nice evening gown. He grinned, and bowed to her as music began to play. They were in the middle of a large dancefloor.

"Care to dance, m'lady?"

Erin

The Dream

Taken by surprise as his arms came around me, I turned and glanced up into his smiling face.
"Dave?" How did he get here? The towel was removed and I glanced down. I was actually wearing a strapless dress?! I felt sexy for the first time in a very long time. The smile in his eyes as he looked at me.
I felt kind of funny inside, this was my friend.. Why was I feeling this way? A secret side of me I didn't know about?
"Yes." I smiled and moved towards him. His hand cupping mine softly and his hand moving to my lower back, we waltzed around the room.
I had never danced like this before, but seen it so many times on the tv set. I was amazed I was dancing like this..
This was a dream, A different kind of dream, but still I had to smile.
Twirling around and around, the music played softly as my heart raced. We seemed to fly over the floor, barely touching the smooth surface.

Dream Dave

They swept around the room, Dave smiling all the while. He had no clue how to dance, so he was letting her mind do the work, imagining it all far more grand than it probably was.

"You look beautiful, Erin, As always." He smiled, and they danced a moment more before he smiled, and moved his lips to her own. How would she react, he wondered, as he kissed her.

Erin

The Dream

We stopped dancing, my heart was pounding in my chest as I felt him move down to my level, coming closer.
I think my eyes went wide but I did not step back, not yet. What was he doing?
"Dave?" I mumbled his name, his face coming closer to my own until our lips met. He kissed me tentively, not too demanding but felt. My own lay compliant under his own, this felt wrong but at the same time it felt ok too.
I pushed back away from him, smiling a little and flushing brightly, "Friends don't do that..." I whispered, trying to stop the way my mind was taking this dream. It was taking it too far, into unknown territory. A place I shouldn't get into.
Friends don't make good lovers..

Dream Dave

"Is that all we are? Friends? Do you honestly think everytime I hit on you it's a joke? We already spend almost all our time together, and look how much fun we have. And all we're ever going to be is friends? Is that what you want?"

Even as he spoke, the dance floor, and himself, began to fade. She was rejecting the dream, and he couldn't force her to hold it. Darkness was closing in. It wasn't scary, just, nothing. As he began to fade with everything else, he gave her a questioning look.

"Just friends?"

Erin

"wait..." He was fading and his question kept ringing in my ears. "Only friends?" I moved towards him but he was gone. The annoying buzz of my alarm clock ringing in my ears instead of the sweet music I had heard before.
I glanced around the room, wiping my face and with it the tears off of my face? I was having strange dreams lately, things I would not normally think about. I did smile however remembering the way we danced.
Standing up, I moved to my bathroom and turned on the water. I heard a loud thump on the wall and someone yelling at me to turn it off, I had taken all the hot water.
Sighing I shut it off and waited my turn.

Dave

He stretched. He'd been up for an hour already, wondering if he'd pushed it too far. Dreams were funny, and so was time within them. He sat back, and typed on the keyboard, finishing up his work for the next month.

He was already dressed and showered. He yawned, and wondered if he should go grab some breakfast. No sandwiches today, but maybe there was something else just as tasty.

Erin

Showering and dressing into some comfortable clothes, I grabbed my psych. book and headed downstairs.
I could smell something fabulous cooking in the kitchen and stepped inside. I couldn't see anyone but there was food simmering on the stove.
I never did learn how to cook worth a shit. Sighing, I went to the fridge and grabbed a coke. This would do until lunch time. Sitting at the table, I opened the book and went over the fifteen vocabulary words and meanings one last time.
Sipping the coke, I kept thinking back to the dream.
Just friends? Is that all I wanted? I was a walking curse, a disease to relationships. I couldn't ask for more, it would sour and fuck up a really good friendship if I did try it.
I hated this, I hated this frustration as well.

Dave

He wandered downstairs, and opened the fridge, grabbing a coke. He looked over at the cooking food, then to Erin as he leaned against the fridge, smiling at her.

"Well, Erin, you're up awfully early. Much more than your noon 'morning' yesterday. And looking sexy as Hell, too. I see Mitch is cooking again, must have a test today."

He took a deep drink of his coke, and walked over to the food, taking a look at it.

Erin

"Don't touch his food just turn it off.. He hates when we mess with his shit.. anal male if I ever saw one.." I took a drink of my coke and set it down, twirling the can with my hand as i read the words on the tin.
It was boring but it kept me from looking at Dave.
"What's with you lately? Always commenting on my appearance!?" I stood up rather quickly and sent the chair over backwards to the floor. I was acting a little irrational but I couldn't seem to stop myself from behaving like a utter moron.
"I've got to get to class. sorry.. see ya" I waved half assedly to Dave and raced out the door. I needed some fresh air and to clear my head.
It was so tempting to give in and come onto Dave, see if this is the one time I could make a go at a relationship.. And then the other side laughed sarcasticly and rolled her eyes. I was terrible at this, I really was.
I paused at the sidewalk, hearing Dave coming out. We both had classes today in the same building, but I couldn't face him right now after the ass I just made of myself.
I took off jogging, all the way to the class room and up to my seat. My mind a mess, I kept thinking about that, "Just friends?"

someone new...

As you took your seat in the class you noticed you were being watched.. no more like a knowing observation. You could see the experience in his eyes.. You knew that he seemed to know you already... but you never met before.. or have you..

Erin

I caught someone staring at me and returned the look with one of my own. Cocking a brow at him, I blatantly returned his stare before turning back to my note book as the test sheets were passed out.
For an hour I chewed on my pencil as one by one I answered the questions. When the bell rang, time was up and my test was finished. Standing I picked up my things and carried my test up to the professor.
He gave me a look, one that I had seen many times before. Hopefully studying this time paid off. Walking out into the hallway, I sat down at the bench I always waited on for Dave to come out.
There again was the stranger, staring at me.
"Do I know you?" I asked loudly so he could hear me through the distance.

You know me..

Yes you know me.. I'm that devil in your dreams... That scouldral you make love to in your dreams.. Yes I look like you know me.. we have walked together many times.. Do you Remember the last time?

more than you know..

I know you.. I can see you soul my gaze devours you .. the look tells you I know every curve.. I know the intimate part of you. . I know you are mostly a tease.. You LOVE to tease

Erin

The first thought was this guy had lost his mind. That was the only thing I could think of that would explain those very odd words.
"I am afraid you are mistaken..." I rose from my seat, giving him another look over before turning and walking outside to wait for Dave.
That guy was very strange. I turned and watched the door. Would Dave come out or would this stranger follow? I had definately best get some sleep soon, i was seeing things or something.
